What Caribia will be doing when she gets on years? Will she be sending happy married life or killed by some guy after cheated out of her money? Well, these things surely are not the matter at all in her life.           

Cabiria has narrow escape from death twice in this film. But　she showed charming smile at the end of film inspite of losing everything. Her smile means that her new life will start at that time.  

The inner side of person should be strong more than appearances, especially after losing everything. This sense of optimism might be similar to the wisdom of Buddhism and Fellini wants the viewer to take with him/her as he/she is leaving the theater.  He also wants to convey one simple, eassy-to-grip but so essential message: "Please, don't give up".                            

What the meaning of life, and happiness?  Money and/or houses are of no importance in one's life. However, I do not have confidence to attain such the state of selflessness...smile.....           

The ability of her extraordinary quick recovery reminds me a mutant shown in the recent film of x-men. This beautiful movie was made in 1957... That my birth year....                                                                                                          We will never seen such an amazing finale in other movie. This is a must-see film, and, most important of all.

Valentine day

Japanese custom at Valentine day must be different from yours.
The Japanese women give  some chocolate to guys on this day.
And Japanese guys give some candy in return the other day.                  (usually a month later)
Also, the office ladies used to make a gift of chocolate for even some fellow workers, it seems to be a hard work to deliver them.....smile.

So, I do not give anything at Valentine day... I am just waiting for the chocolates.

I think it is the plot of the chocolate company.. They will make a large
profit on it.
However, a Valentine day is the big chance for the shy Japanese girls to declare their love for the persons they love.

Anyway, I hope you have a romantic happy-Valentine day.
