"Eternal Zero" was a very popular book about the Zero fighter.
Regardless of the author's ideology, there were many scenes that impressed me with what was written.
I could clearly see how the Japanese military continued to make stupid decisions that resulted in a great number of casualties.
And Hayao Miyazaki's "The Wind Rises" was also a story about the developers of the Zero fighter.

It is also memorable that after the film's release, there was a controversial debate on both sides of the issue about too many smoking scenes.

It was aired on Delevi in February this year and I had recorded it and watched it this past Golden Week.
As you can see in the picture, there are indeed many smoking scenes, but they were depicted as a very normal and usual thing.
I once again thought that it was not something that would be criticized by the public.

In the scene where the main character recommends Japanese cigarettes to the Germans at the hotel, the "cherry" package was very nostalgic.
