私は、東洋大学校友の根本文子さんの本（「正岡子規研究」笠間書院、7000円）を三田図書館で借りて読みました。
読んでいる途中で、私の感想を書いたり、二つの校正ミスを報告したりして、根本さんとメールのやりとりをしました。
そしたら、今日、7000円もする「正岡子規研究」が出版社から届きました。「著者からの謹呈依頼」ということで、こんなのははじめてなので、感謝感激です。
I borrowed and read a book by Toyo University alumnus Fumiko Nemoto ('Studies on Masaoka Shiki', KASAMA Shoin, 7,000 yen) from the Mita Library.
In the course of reading it, I wrote my impressions and reported two proofreading errors, and exchanged emails with Ms Nemoto.
Then, today, I received a copy of "Masaoka Shiki Kenkyu" from the publisher, which costs 7,000 yen. It was a 'respectful request from the author', which is the first time I've ever received anything like this, so I'm very grateful.
