So, where is ”justice”?

The Russian leader evoked Soviet heroism in World War Two in his speech earlier. He said that defending the state when its fate hung in the balance had "always been sacred", and that troops in Ukraine today were fighting for Russia's security.

He said troops and volunteers in the eastern Ukrainian Donbas region were "fighting for the motherland, its future" and he accused the West of preparing for an "invasion of our land".

It was no surprise to hear linking the current war in Ukraine with World War Two, glorifying the Soviet past. He puts Russia into this victim role. This must be also in order to justify and make some sense of this war.

He implied Russia was at war with Nato as well as Ukraine. He called Nato "an obvious threat" to Russia and said his "special military operation" had been necessary and the "right decision".

An explosion at one of Havana's most luxurious hotels killed at least 26 people. A natural gas leak was the apparent cause of blast at the 96-room hotel. The 19th-century structure in the Old Havana neighborhood did not have any guests at the time because it was undergoing renovations ahead of a planned reopening after being closed for two years during the pandemic.

The dead included four children and a pregnant woman. The cause of the blast was still under investigation, but a large crane hoisted a charred gas tanker from the hotel's rubble.

Although no tourists were reported injured, the explosion is another blow to the country’s crucial tourism industry.
The hotel was renovated in 2005 as part of the Cuban government’s revival of Old Havana and is owned by the Cuban military’s tourism business arm, Grupo de Turismo Gaviota SA. 

Russian Nuclear War story

Russia has repeatedly refrained from using nuclear weapons in Ukraine after the United States has criticized NATO for not taking the threat of nuclear war seriously.

Russia claims that it has no intention of using nuclear weapons. Russia calls The Ukrainian War as a "special military operation".

"The scenarios of our potential use of nuclear weapons are clearly prescribed in Russian doctrinal documents. "Russia firmly abides by the principle that there can be no victors in a nuclear war."

That's what they say.

US provided intelligence that helped Ukraine target Russian warship

When Ukraine successfully targeted Russia's prized warship last month with anti-ship cruise missiles, it had some help from the United States.
Ukrainian forces, having spotted the Russian warship in the Black Sea, called their American contacts for confirmation that it was in fact the Moskva.
The US responded that it was, and provided intelligence about its location. It is not clear whether the US knew Ukraine would move to strike the ship.

The US has for months provided Ukrainian forces with intelligence about Russian troop movements inside Ukraine, including intercepted communications about Russian military planning. It also provides Ukraine with maritime awareness information to allow the country to better understand the threat posed by Russian ships in the Black Sea, many of which are firing missiles onto Ukrainian territory.

Ukraine combines information that their partners provide with the intelligence that they themselves are gathering on the battlefield, and then they make their own decisions, and they take their own actions.

Russia’s progress in eastern and southern Ukraine is being closely monitored as its forces appear to have escalated assaults on those regions. Attacks on Mariupol steelworks intensify as Russia looks to end standoff. Fate of Ukraine’s Donbas is in the balance.
The U.S. and its allies are rushing to send additional security assistance amid an intensified Russian assault in eastern and southern Ukraine.

EU should impose total ban on Russian oil.  Putin has to pay a 'high price for his brutal aggression' in Ukraine. The supply of crude oil and refined products from Russia sould be prohibited. The sanctions should also targeted military figures involved in the massacre of civilians in the town of Bucha and the siege of the port city of Mariupol and blocking Russian state television.
