The other day, Mr. Yamada, a fellow student of Toyo University who participated in the Toyo Sansuikai golf competition, sent us three daikon radishes produced in Mitama, Tokyo.
Okay, I can't eat them raw, so I am going to make them into kiriboshi daikon, a well-known dried daikon produced in Miyazaki Prefecture.
You can see kiriboshi daikon simmered in my bento in the photo.
Kiriboshi-daikon is also reasonably priced if you buy it at the supermarket.
Dried Kiriboshi Daikon handmade by Yokohama citizens is also good.
