◎ 今、村上春樹さんのベストセラー「１Ｑ８４」を読みました。５００ページを超える文庫本で、１～３までを１０日間ほどで読み終えました。１ページごと、１行ごとに素晴らしい文章と描写が連なっています。久しぶりに心の底から興奮を覚え、違った自分になったような錯覚さえありました。
◎ 本を読み、たばこの登場するシーンがあると、必ず抜き書きするようにしていますので、近日中にご紹介したいと思いますが、その予告をしますと、「１Ｑ８４」に登場するたばこは、「マルボロ」「ヴァージニアスリム」、それに「セブンスター」のたった３種類だけでした。ちょっとさびしい感じはしましたが、どれも自然で的確な銘柄だと思いました。

I just read Haruki Murakami's bestseller "1Q84".
It is a 500+ page paperback and I finished reading 1 through 3 in about 10 days.
Every page and every line is a series of wonderful sentences and descriptions.
I was so excited that I felt as if I had become a different person.
Whenever I read a book and see a scene in which cigarettes appear, I always try to extract a few lines from the book, and I hope to introduce them to you soon.
To give you a preview, there were only three kinds of cigarettes in "1Q84": "Marlboro," "Virginia Slim," and "Seven Star".
I felt a little rusty, but I thought they were all natural and accurate brands.
