国会行動をしながら、長野県上田市からの要請（市営地=元JT上田工場跡地、そこに建てた記念碑の継続申請）に対応しました。

そして、たまたま読み終えた本が、長野県上田市出身の元衆議院議員（社会党国会対策委員長）平林剛さんの著作でした。

昭和51〜52年、ロッキード事件、保革伯仲時代のNHK国会討論の概要が記録された本でした。

歴史は繰り返すと申しますが、まさに現代ニッポンの政治状況と酷似しており、たくさんの学びがありました。

While conducting parliamentary action, I responded to a request from Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture (municipal land = former JT Ueda plant site, application for continuation of the monument erected there).

Then, I happened to finish reading a book written by Takeshi Hirabayashi, a former member of the House of Representatives (Chairman of the Socialist Party's National Diet Task Force) from Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture.

It was a book that recorded a summary of the NHK parliamentary debate in 1976-77, during the Lockheed affair and the period when the two parties were at loggerheads.

History repeats itself, but the political situation in contemporary Japan is very similar, and I learnt a lot from the book.
