Skype meeting is over!!

I had a skype meeting this evening. Interestingly I have two mentors. This evening I was able to talk to one of them mainly. Last time I talked to the other mentor only. Two mentor-system is quite good in many ways. You can get different feedback from a different standpoint.

I am going to submit my "Almost final proposal" by March 1. I am hoping that this proposal could improve further during my stay in Maastricht.

My main mentor will take me for a dinner this time as well. He is so generous to get together so that we could know each other not only professionally but also personally. This kind of "mentor-mentee" relationships and mutual trust will be very helpful, especially when I am in distance from him for the projects.

Related to the two mentor-systems, in designing clinical trials, I asked our team leader to employ another clinician whose expertise is clinical infectious diseases. I look forward to working with him for collaborative learning and peer-review.

今晩、さきほどまでMentorと最後のskype meetingがありました。前回はメインのmentorと二人で行いましたが、今回は、もうひとりのmentorとのconnectionがよく、彼女と二人で話し合いました。

二人のmentorを持つことがとても効果的であることを実感します。お互いが補完的に働くので学習者としては助かります。自分自身もmentorの役割をすることがありますので、教育プログラムをデザインするときにぜひ取り入れたいと思っています。

今日は、日本語では、上記の英語と違う内容を書いています。英語も使えば使うほど慣れるので、bilingualな環境に常に自分を置くようにしています！
