北海道大学の国際南極大学カリキュラム（青木・杉山担当）。後期から、南極学特別講義IIがスタート。

 

前半は、ブレーメン大学のWilhelm Hagen教授の「極域生物学」。後半は、スイス工科大学のHeinz Blatter教授の「気候・氷河学」。

 

受講生の何人かは、スイスアルプス氷河実習にも参加。

 

講義は英語で行われているが、Hagen教授はゆっくりと丁寧に講義をしていただく。とても分かりやすい。

さあ、次はBlatter教授の登場だ。
