TO PASS OVER

　pass over somebody (for something),  pass somebody over (for something)で、「（就職・昇進などから）（人）を除外する、外す、見送る、考慮しない」。

　全世界で大人気のBTS。

　昨年は “Dynamite“が全米のヒットチャートのNo.1を獲得し、今年になっては５月にリリースした“Butter”が、さらには７月に発表したPermission To Dance”も全米No. 1を獲得した。

　“Permission To Dance”の歌詞もすごくイカしている。

　こんな感じだ。

POLICY

  policyは「政策、方策」の意味で使われることが多いが、「保険証券」、さらには「保険契約」の意味で使われることもある。

　今日のGetUpEnglishはこの表現を学習しよう。

　the terms of the policyといえば、「保険約款（ほけんやっかん）」だ。
