　本日はこの形容詞glorifiedを学習する。

　「美化した、実際よりよく言った」という意味で、軽蔑をこめて使われることが多い。

 You had to ask.の解釈はむずかしいが、付加疑問文の後半は省略されることが時々あり、これもYou had to ask, didn’t you.（そんなことは聞かなくてよかったんじゃないか？）という意味になると思う。

　英語はむずかしい。そして映画は勉強になる。

　

GOOD GRAVY!

  good gravy!で、「おやまあ、なんてことだ、大変だ、あきれた、やれやれ」。驚き・不信・落胆などを表わす。
