London Bridge（ロンドン橋）は、ロンドンを流れるテムズ川にかかる橋。

2000年近い歴史があり、1750年にウェストミンスター・ブリッジが架けられるまでロンドン市内でテムズ川に架かる唯一の橋でした。

現在のロンドン橋は1973年竣工のコンクリート橋で地味であるのに対して、下流にあるタワーブリッジは2つの塔を持つ跳開橋で見栄えが良く、。観光客はタワーブリッジの方がロンドン橋であると、勘違いすることがあるとか。

しかし、ロンドンで最も古いのはロンドン・ブリッジで、ローマ時代からあります。

さて、「霧の都ロンドン」という言葉のとおり、ロンドンでは他の大都市に比べて霧がよく発生します。

そのなかには、自然の霧もありますが、粒子状物質によるスモッグも多くあるらしいですが・・・。
