This afternoon, I was able to concentrate on revising my proposal. I briefly read some relevant papers and summarized the content. I sent my revised proposal to my mentors around 6 PM.
I went shopping, and ate dinner with my family.
My skype meeting was from 9 PM to 10 PM. He is in UK and for him, 12 noon to 1 PM.
I have been really learning from him a lot in mentoring students. He understands our job as a doctor, and sometimes it is very difficult to get things done on time while competing with other responsibilities.
He gave me realistic advice. I have to make a presentation on March 8th. I am going to be evaluated by two external reviewers. My argument in the proposal has to be clearer and more coherent. This is the hardest part in planning research and writing proposals.
メンターとのskype meeting は１時間。とても有意義で、もっとロジカルにbackgroundのところを書き直すことになりました。対話をしながら、私の考えを、メンターがrephraseしてくれて、そのおかげで、どのように表現すべきかの方向性がわかりました。難しいですが、”頭脳の使いどころ”でしょう。リサーチの本質的なところですね。
プロのeducational scienceのリサーチャーとしての本質を少しずつ、教えてもらいました。奥が深いです。やはりPh.Dを取りにいくことでキャリアが格段にステップアップすることは間違いないと確信しました。
