第70回トニー賞の授賞式が、現地時間の6/12に行われました！(写真は、最多受賞を果たした「ハミルトン」のキャストの皆さんです。)
今年(2016)のトニー賞の授賞式は、ニューヨークのビーコン劇場を会場に、現地時間の6月12日(日)の夜の8時から3時間に渡って開催され、その模様は、CBSテレビによって生中継されました。今回の授賞式は、フロリダ州オーランドのナイトクラブで起きた銃乱射事件で亡くなられた方々、怪我をされた方々とその関係者のために捧げられました。この事件は、死者49人というアメリカ史上最悪の銃撃事件となってしまいました。亡くなられた方々のご冥福と、怪我をされた方の1日も早い回復をお祈り致します。
最多受賞は、16部門でノミネートされていたミュージカル「ハミルトン」で、作品賞、主演男優賞、助演男優賞、助演女優賞、脚本賞、オリジナルスコア賞を含む12部門で受賞を果たしました。
