Run 38.3km 4:27
My friends set up an running event called as "Orehako", coming from "Hakone ekiden" college long distance relay between Tokyo and Hakone.
Hakone ekiden is one of famous running event in Japan. It is held every January 2nd and 3rd.
About the detail, please check the following website (Wikipedia).

This time, we tried to run the second half from Hakone to Tokyo.
I was in charge of 9th section 23.2km from Totsuka to Tsurumi. But it's not enough for Ironman and I wanted to save the travel expense to Totsuka.
So I ran about 10km from my house to Totsuka too.
About 15 minutes later when I arrived at Totsuka, some runner in charge of 8th section arrived there. And we started a couple of minutes later.
The course is on the one of important road in Japan, called as "Tokaido".
The road is narrow and was crowded, so we had to run on sidewalk.
It was very smoothly, but I felt hunger little by little.
If possible, I wanted to run 10th section continuously. but I stopped at Tsurumi and took a rest to eat rice ball.
After the rest, I ran again because I wanted to run more.
But as you know, it was too hard to run again after the rest...
Fortunately, I knew there is nice hot spring at Kamata, about 6km far from Tsurumi. So I decided there as my final destination.
The hot spring was really awesome. The admission fee was only JPY450(USD4.50).
After that, I went to Tokyo for well done party by train.
The construction for renewal of Tokyo station had already completed.
I enjoyed a bunch of awesome Japanese foods with my crazy Japanese friends!
Thank you for all! See you!
