Bike ride with abdominal pain.

In the US, the last monday of May is the national holiday called "Memorial day". So I rode a bike to practice for IRONMAN Lake Placid.
I rode at Indian Hill in the morning. And after the lunch, I went to my regular training course in country side of Loveland.
In total, I rode over 130km, but I couldn't concentrate to ride due to abdominal pain.

I went to Blue Ash YMCA after the work and took running.

I've two tough weeks every year because our company's VIP member comes two times per a year.
And it was the day which they came here!
So I stopped by LA fitness to swim little bit in the early morning, and after that I went to CVG to pick them up.
And of course, I attended their lunch and dinner.
It was the day of starting tough week...

5/23/2014(FRI)
Bike spinning 21km 0:58

I stopped by Blue Ash YMCA for doing spinning before VIP member picked up the hotel.

5/24/2014(SAT) No training

The tough week ended. I dropped VIP member at CVG in the morning. After that, I tried to train but I couldn't do it by the fatigue and abdominal pain.
It was the start of the nightmare...

I rode a bike in the afternoon.
First, I followed routine course which indicated by double white arrow. But I was little bit bored because I went to there almost of all weekend.
So I searched for new course by GPS and found out nice small falls like a Niagra on the way!

But in an other hand, I dropped my saddle bag on the way because the bracket is broken by terrible road vibration.
I picked it up soon and came home with putting it into bottle cage.

And also Di2-shifter too...


Bad things happened in quick succession...

After that, I went to LA fitness to swim.

Recovery from cold

I still caught a cold. So I took only weight training after the English class.

I took easy trainig due to one the way for recovery from cold.

I had a soial meeting of Blue Ash Multisport at night.
So I stopped by LA fitness in the morning and took swim and run.
At the sosial, I had a good time to meet not only our regular member but new comer.

Spinning 16.1km 0:47
I went to Blue Ase YMCA to do spinning. After that I swam for cooling down.

Run 11.8km 1:08
I ran around my complex in evening.

Fight with cold...

5/10/2014(SAT) No training due to feeling fever since yesterday.
It was National train day. So there was some event at Union station at downtown of Cincinnati.
But I felt fever since yesterday, so I stayed home all day...

My condition got better than yesterday, so I tried team riding.

I did my best but couldn't catch up 1st group. Then I lost the way and was caught up with 2nd group.
I recognized my condition didn't recover yet.

But I have Ironman Lake Placid in the end of July, so I have to ride more!
And after the lunch, I went to Indian Hill for additional ride.

But it was too hard for me... And my cold was getting worse again...

Swimming for relaxing. But it was included 3 sets of 100 yd individual medley.

Run for recovery. Not so fast.

I attended Japanese economics seminar studying the spirit of Mr Kazuo Inamori, a founder of Kyoto ceramics.
It's a monthly mandatory event and it also has a drinking party after the seminar. So I couldn't do any exercise...

I went to Blue Ash YMCA to ride on spinning. The spinning machine has cycle computer, DH bar, and SPD pedal. So it's good for TT training.

After the English class, I went to Blue Ash YMCA and ran by treadmill.
It was the adjustment training for Pig.

It operated by Japanese, so it was good.

Volunteer & final run for Pig

Today, there was indoor triathlon event at Blue Ash YMCA.
It's one of team event of Blue Ash multisports racing.
But it looked like too hard for me, so I joined as volunteer.

It contained 10 minutes swim, 20 minutes spinning, and 15 minutes treadmill.
Also it had some opitons, 2-ways(double) and 3-ways(triple) triathlon, duathlon, and each relay.



Of course, our team's "King", 4 times Kona finisher got 1st place.
But I was disappointed that he didn't choose 2-ways or 3-ways...

After that, I ran around Blue Ash for final running practice for Pig.
But I had energy burned on the way, so my running pace was getting slow...

Hill climbing bike course collections Vol.3

I'm still trying to find out good hill climbing bike course near Greater Cincinnati area.
The day, I tried Indian Hill area.

Indian Hill is famous as one of high class residential area at Greater Cincinnati area, and there are many hills around there. So it's famous for cyclist as hill climbing course.

These slopes were good, not too steep and not too short.
This time, I traced this route. But we can make many route in this area.
So I'll try to make more steeper course in around there.

1 hour training for weight training and treadmill at Blue Ash YMCA before the work.
Swimming at LA fitness Symmth after the work.

I had a business trip in the morning.
After that, I visited Japan West, Findley, OH for lunch.

Findley is one of small town between Troy, OH and Toledo, OH.
But this restaurant is operated by Japanese, and we can eat real Japanese food.
I ordered daily special lunch, Japanese style fried chicken.
It was really awesome and under $10!

The training was swimming at LA fitness Symmth after the work.

Spinning at Blue Ash YMCA. I'm still continuing hill climbing menu suggested by Jurgen Zack.
And that day, my reinforcements from Great Britain arrived.
