きわめて限定情報。
要は接続を確認するのと(当たり前)、メモリのリセットをしてみる、ということなんだけど、やっても症状は変わらず。ぼくにとっては、役立たずな情報だったのだ。残念ながら……。

??There are several things to check when your battery will not charge.
??1. Make sure that the battery pack is properly seated in the robot. You should hear two distinctive clicks when the battery is inserted into the robot. You may need to use some pressure when inserting the battery. Press firmly down on the side nearest the spinning side brush.
?2. Check to make sure that the charger is properly connected to the AC adapter and to the robot. Also make sure the adapter is plugged securely into your outlet.
?3. Ensure that the battery is being charged for the proper amount of time.
??On the Discovery Series you may need to reset the memory of the Roomba if you’re experiencing charging problems. To do this:
??1. Remove the battery from the Roomba.
?2. Press and Hold the POWER button on the Roomba for 20-30 seconds.
?3. Reinstall the battery into the Roomba and make sure you hear two distinct clicks.
?4. Connect the charger directly to the Roomba and you should see a power light pulsing red and a solid green light on the charger.
?5. Give the Roomba a full 3 hour charge like this and afterwards you should be able to use either method of charging for your Roomba.
