ゴミ Gomi

我が家の愛くるしい猫です。
ゴミと言う名前です。
９年前私のひざの上で生まれました。
あまりに美しくない毛並みなので
養子に出せませんでした。
でも今は素敵なパートナーです。
（これでも写真はうつりは　いい方です）

Our lovely cat.
She was born on my lap nine years ago.
With such dirty looking coat like garbage,
we named her GOMI, (gomi means garbage)
and failed in adoption.
But now, she is our superb pet hard to replace.
She is still better looking in this picture.

不思議に感じた事がある人は多いと思います。
自分の影に感心がなくなって
もう随分たってしまいました。

Haven' t you played with your own shadow
or wondered about it, when you were a child?
It' s been years since I lost interest in
my own shadow.

相方がしばらく実家に帰っていないので
今日の夕食はFast Foodとなりました。
アメリカ代表　ケンタッキーフライドチキン
日本代表　冷や奴
モンゴル代表　モンゴリアンカップヌードル
お味の方は？
モンゴルがんがれ！でした。

My translator and cook is out of town,
today' s dinner is global fast food.

私は太陽を見て感動する事よりも
月や星を見て深く心動かされることの方が
多いようです。
月の持つ表現力に引かれます。

I 'm moved more deeply by the moon
and stars than the sun.
I like expressive power of the moon.

今日のお昼は 手打ち更科の
新そばをいただきました。
もう２０年近くかよっている高島平の
おそば屋さんです。
本当においしい更科をたっぷりいただけます。
至福の時間でした。
ごちそうさまでした！

Today I had the first soba of the season
for lunch.
I 've frequently visited this Soba shop
in Takashimadaira for the last two decades.
The shop always serves really nice soba,
which I eat to my heart 's content.
It 's the happiest moment ! .

散歩（１）Walk(1)

よく近くの荒川の河川を散歩します。
絵の構成を考えながら　雉や鷺などの
野鳥を見ながらの　小一時間です。

More often than not, I take a walk along
the Arakawa riv. near here.
Thinking about the ideas of my works
or watching wild birds like pheasants,
herons and so on,
I spend almost an hour on it.

-Plowing Man, Spring Moon-

豊かな実りを想って土を耕し
豊かな生き方を望んで心を耕す

まっ　いいけど　私には無理そうです.......

時には高すぎる理想も絵にします。

Thinking of an abundant harvest,
a man plows the soil.
Hoping for fecund life,
a man cultivates his soul.

It seems difficult to me.........

But I sometimes draw a too lofty ideal.

篠笛（１）

愛用の篠笛
-Japanese Bamboo Flute-

私の版画制作では　１色を刷ると
次の色をするまでに２０～３０分程乾かせます。
その間暇なので　笛を吹いています。

Once a color printed, it need drying for printing
the next color.
It takes 20~30minutes to dry the ink.
To kill time, I play the bamboo flute.


プロフィールに使っている写真は　大胆にも
カルフォルニアのヨセミテ国立公園で
吹いた時のものです。

I was bold enough to play it
in Yosemite National Park, CA

朝食

ある日の朝食です
-MY breakfast one morning-

適当な青菜をきざんで入れた　おかゆです。
我が家では　『青がゆ』と言っています。
その日によって　塩こぶや漬け物　
残っていた白身魚などもきざんでいれます。

おいしいですね。

This is rice gruel containing minced green
vegetables (any greens in the fridge will do you)
I call it "AOGAYU" which means"Green Gruel"
I sometimes add seaweed or leftovers whitefish to it.

It tastes great !

神話の始まり－再生ー
Beginning of Myth -Revival-

雲間から陽光が帯のように降りそそいでいる、
神々しいシーンをかつて見た事があります。
思わずため息が出るような　感動体験、
これが創作のエネルギーになります。

The sun peeks out between the clouds
and the zonal rays shine magnificently.
Once I have seen such a solemn scene,
which made me sigh unconsciously.
An impressive experience like this has
given great power of my creativity.

神話の始まりー試練ー
Beginning of Myth -Trial-

シルクスクリーン版画は鮮やかな色を出せる
版種ですが　ともすると単調になる画面を
箔の効果で奥行きのある空間を
表現できました。

One thing that makes silkscreen special
is its bold color.
On the other hand, this characteristics
makes sometimes the images flat and
monotonous.
But using leaf adds variety and depth
to them.

我が家のすぐそばの５００坪ほどの畑一面に
つくられています。
ただ作られているだけです。
売るなどということも　していません。
近所の人はニコニコ眺めるだけです。
誰一人盗る人もいません。

There is a cosmos field around
0.4 acre close to our house.
The flowers are just planted,
for no sale.

The neighbors enjoy only viewing,
no one picks them.

Beginning of Myth -Sailing-

このシリーズだけではなく　
私のすべてのシルク作品には赤貝箔と青貝箔を
使用しています。
銀箔を加工して玉虫風にした　美しい箔です。
昔からある日本の伝統箔です。

All my silkscreen works are used Red-schell leaf
and Blue-schell leaf which are processed silver leaves.
These beautiful iridescent leaves are
old traditional Japanese leaves.

このシリーズ２作目の　豊穣　です。
神話の始まり－豊穣ー
Beginning of Myth -Fertirity-

このシリーズではほぼ２０～２５色　
３０～３５刷りで制作しています。
（刷り　あるいは　通し　とは発色よくするため
２～３回同じ版で重ねて刷ることです。）
使用している紙は　いずみ（国産中性紙）です。

In this series, I use 20 to 25 colores per work
and for this,I repeat the process of putting ink
and printing on the paper about 30 to 35 times.
Because some ink needs two or three times of
the process to make the color clearer.

The paper I use is Japanese make named IZUMI.

I got the imagination from Myths or folktales.
