オヤジの形見の懐中時計

秋分の日、お墓参りに行って来た。
ふと思い出して、オヤジが尊敬していた方から
頂いた懐中時計を引っ張りだした。
文字盤には、'american Waltham Watch Co'と書かれている。
ネットで検索をかけたら、1851-1957にあったメーカーのものだと
判った。
裏蓋を開けてシリアルナンバーを確認して照合したところ、
1895年製。
結構良い骨董価値があるのかと思ったら、そうでもないみたい^^;
しかし、裏蓋を開けて金色の内部に光を当てると
浮かび上がるロゴはとても美しい！
ネジを巻き上げると、チッチッチッチッ・・と
軽快な音を立てて動き出した・・。
亡オヤジの耳にも届いたかな・・・^^

イチロー

イチローは、ホントにすごい。
まさに野球をやる為に生まれてきたような奴だな。
全力でその場その場に挑む。
そしてその精神力、集中力は尋常じゃないな。
まさに全身、セロトニンの塊のようだ。

今を全力で生きる。
今、その時だけに集中して全力でプレイする。
過去も未来も見ない。
今だけに集中する。

結果は後からついてくる。

名声を得るためにプレイするのではない。
全力でプレイする結果、名声を獲得するのだ。
