シルクスクリーン版画「花シリーズ」第６作 Iris

虫の声が一段と大きくなってきた今日この頃です。
我が家では家の中までコオロギが入って鳴いています。
ボロ屋ならではの風情で　私は気に入っています。
We‘ve heard the sound of insects more loudly these days.
Crickets are chirping even in our house (hut?).
A run-down but all the more quaint house. I like it.

と言ったところで　花シリーズ　第６作　「あやめ」です。

原画を描いているときは　シルク版画にするのはかなり手間がかかって難しそうだなと　思っていました。
梅と同様古来　日本の多くの画家に描かれてきた素材で　名作も多いので　
自分なりのあやめに仕上げられるか　ちょっと腰が惹けましたが　挑戦してみました。

When drawing it, I thought it would involve a lot of time and effort to make silkscreen print.
Like Ume blossom, Iris has been depicted by many painters through the ages in Japan.
There are so many masterpieces that I was wimpy a bit.
I wondered if I could make MY Iris. But I tried.

今回の「あやめ」　色のバランスをとるのに　難儀しましたが
苦労した分　私なりのあやめになったように思います。

いかがでしょうか。
I had difficulty balancing colors, because of that I think it became my own Iris.




さて　夏も終わりに近づいてきた様ですが　札幌からも今年の夏を惜しむ花便りが着きました。
It seems that the summer has come to an end.
The images that are traces of the summer have arrived from Sapporo.
