２００９年第５４回CWAJ現代日本版画展The 54th CWAJ Print Show

先週の１５日今年のCWAJ展のReceptionにいってきました。

やはり不況のせいでしょうか　アメリカ人の来場者は例年より少ないように思えました。
American guests seemed less than usual, due to this recession or some reasons.

会場内４　自作2点です
My two prints.

目立つ位置に飾られていたこともあって　
結構沢山の人が立ち止まって熱心に見てくれていたようです。
Thanks to the good place for attention, many people stopped to take a good look at them.

会場内５　歴代のカタログ表紙に使われたポスターです。
The works in the posters hanging on the wall were used for the successive catalogue covers.
左端が４２回展に採用された自作「Moonlight Theater Scene 2」です。
The left one is mine “Moonlight Theater scene 2” used in the 42nd show.

日本人に限らず国内で活動している版画家１８４人の展覧はやはり見応えがあります。

「現代美術」の国際見本市などはたまにありますが
美術市場がほとんど発達していない日本に於いて
版画分野に限られてはいますが　自作を海外にappealできる場として　
CWAJの活動は私たち版画家にとっても大変貴重な存在です。　

184 print artists’ show was interesting to see.
International trade fairs for “ Modern Art” are sometimes held, but markets of fine arts are hardly developed in Japan.
Limited to print work( Hanga), the activity of CWAJ is really precious for us as a way
to expose our own work abroad.
