ピアノコンサートA Piano Concert

先週高校同期の友人のピアノコンサートに行ってきました。

小さい頃からピアノの才能を発揮し　東京芸大からドイツ留学等を経て
現在は国立音大の教授をしています。

高校時代　たまたま放課後に他の友人二・三人と　
彼のピアノ練習を聞かせてもらった事があります。
当時私はビートルズやジャズに夢中になっていたので　
その凄さはさっぱりわかりませんでしたが....

今はほぼ毎年行われる彼のコンサートで　
ピュアで広がりのある音世界に浸るのを楽しみにしています。
We went to a piano solo recital of our high school classmate.
Showing great talent for playing piano since childhood, he went on to Tokyo National
University of Fine Arts and Music and then studied in Germany.
And now he is a professor Kunitachi University of Music.

In high school, a couple of friends and I had an oppotunity to listen to his piano after class.
I couldn’t appreciate how he was outstanding, since I got into Beatles and jazz then.
We now enjoy his pure and extensive music world in his annual concert.




東京文化会館小ホール
Tokyo Metropolitan Festival Hall (small hall)


この小ホールは　初めて入ったのですが
その荒削りなコンクリートむき出しの壁面に少々おどろきました。

今は部分的にも　木材を使用している会場が多いのですが
コンクリートのままでも音響には問題はないんですね。
いかにも６０年代の雰囲気が感じられ　意外と落ち着くのが不思議でした。

ちなみに彼は私の版画作品のコレクターで
家の練習室の壁の周りを飾ってくれているそうです。　嬉しいですね。
I’ve been there for the first time.
I was surprised at the wall made of rough concrete, because many halls have a wooden wall these days.
There was nothing wrong with sound in the concrete wall.
The sixties-style setting strangely made me relaxed

Actually, he is a collector of my work.
I’m glad to know his piano room is hung with my prints.
