重症患者やその家族や同僚と話をするときに、誤解されやすい英語の言葉の説明と、別の言い方の提案。
・Withholding or withdrawing care
・There is nothing more we can do
・Withholding and withdrawing life- sustaining measures are morally and ethically equivalent
・Consider an end-of-life decision
・No escalation of treatment

どれも使いそうだし、耳にするけど。
例えば３番目のやつなんか、そうだよねと思う。どう考えたって、同じじゃないもん。
"equivalent"じゃなくて、"permissible”にしたらどうか、というのが提案。”どちらも倫理的に許容される”。
