シルクスクリーン版画「花シリーズ」第５作Ume blossoms

お暑うございます。

昼日中　我が町を車で走っても　人が少なく　活気もなく　暑さにうち拉がれている様な感じです.....
震災不況　そんな状況がこちら関東にも　ひたひたと浸透しているんでしょうか.....
我が家も　出来る事なら「赤字国債」ならぬ「赤字家債」なるもの発行したいくらいです..... 　誰も引き受けないか.....

How have you been in this awful summer heat?

Driving around our town in the daytime, I see few people and feel lifeless.
It seems people are overwhelmed with the heat.
Is the recession by the earthquake disaster penetrating the Kanto area?
What if I issued deficit covering family bonds like the government does?


と言った所で　今回は「花シリーズ」の５作目「白梅」です。

まず　その原画

３月２１日に掲載した原画を元に　改めてシルク作品用に書き直しました。

I drew this based on Ume blossoms posted on March 2nd for silkscreen prints


この時までは　１本の木に白と赤の梅を咲き分けに描こうと考えていましたが
実際にはすべて白梅に変更しました。
（このあたりから　すでに迷いがあった様です）

I intended to depict both red and white blossoms in one tree until then.
But I made them all white.

花や蕾にリズム感があって　楽しげな梅になったのですが
しかし今回は　妙に戸惑いがあって　ちょっと気になったので
全体の色を変えて　作り直してみました。

I thought the blossoms and buds were rhythmical and looked fun, but for some reason
I hesitated to finish it off. So, I remade it changing the colors.

同じ版で色を変えて制作することは　ままあるのですが
最初の原画の「詰め」が甘いというか　イメージが定まっていない結果なのだと思います。

ただ　今回の梅は２点とも　完成度は高く仕上がったので　このまま発表するつもりです。
I sometimes make two prints in different colors from the same design.
Perhaps I haven’t enough boiled down to the idea
However, since I’m satisfied with the finishing, I’ll show both of them.




さて　６作目の紹介はお盆開けにすることにしまして　このブログも暫く夏休みに入る事にします。
再開は１０日後位を予定しています。
