神事「ささら獅子舞」Shrine ritual Sasara Lionｄance

地元氷川神社の小さなお社で　１４日「ささら獅子舞」の
お祭りがありました。

On October 14th, Sasara Lion Dance was performed in the local festival,
near by Hikawa Shrine.




最近は地域・町起こしで地元のお祭りを大々的に
観光化する傾向がありますが　ここのお祭りは
４００年の伝統をもつ地元の人達だけで執り行う
素朴な形を残しています。

These days, local festivals assume the role of vitalizing local economy or something,
but this 400-year old festival is held exclusively by the residents.

引き回し役の「山の神」と三匹獅子　The Lead and Three Lions　

歴史の時間軸と地元で生きるという生活軸が交差した
祭りの原点がありました。

I felt like that this is a fusion of the history and the daily life.
It’s homely, but looks like the very starting point of the festival.



ささらと篠笛　獅子の腰に付けた太鼓のお囃子で物語が進行します。
（篠笛の中に息子が参加しています）
Sasara and Bamboo Flute. The story proceeded with musical accompaniment.
(My son took part in playing the Bamboo Flute)

小・中学生からピアス・金髪の若者達がごく自然に
神妙に参加しているのが印象的でした。
Local young people, from school children to bleached- haired guys
having their ears pierced were naturally taking part in the performance
on their best behavior.



観客は皆地元の人達 Most of the audience were local people.

先祖の足跡を想い　今生きている事への感謝と共に
明日からの安定をも切実に願う　生活者としての
正直な思いが込められたお祭りです。

Respect for their ancestors, gratitude for the present life and
hope for tomorrow stability.
There are full of people's wishes in this festival.

かなり感動しました。
