私は時に自作を眺めてつくづくと「饒舌だなぁ」と
ため息をつくことがあります。
この作品もそのひとつです。
Taking a look at my work, I sometimes keenly feel and sigh,
“What an excessive expression !”

描き込んでいくのが楽しくて楽しくて
あれも書こう これも入れたい こんな形もいい......
画面の中がおもちゃ箱をひっくり返したようになります。
まっ これはこれで自分の世界なので好きなのですが.....
余計なものを出来る限り削ぎ落としたシンプルで
印象深い画面にどこかで憧れているのです。
I always enjoy depicting various things, so it is tempting to add
this and that to my picture.
At last the picture looks as if toys are scattered.
It is my world any way, I like it, of course though…..
I’m probably attracted by simple and impressive images
in which excessive elements are cut out as possible.
今日から札幌では雪祭りのようですが

大きくて立派な雪像も見応えありますが
この雪だるま達も楽しくていいですね。
子供の非常にいい感性を少しでも残し続けられたらいいんですが。
