1994年12月30日付のニューヨークタイムズにネイサン・ダニエルの死亡記事が掲載されていたことは以前から知ってはいたのだが、お盆休みで暇だったので訳出してみた。当然のことながらその内容は過去のブログ記事「ネイサン・ダニエルとダンエレクトロ小史」と重複してしまうのだが、コンパクトにまとまっているのでよしとしておく。訳文中のカッコ書きは私が補足したもの。
