花シリーズの２作目です。

芥子の一種「ポピー」ですが
この作品の雰囲気から和名の「ヒナゲシ」か「虞美人草」のどちらにするか迷いまして.....
ヒナゲシですと アグネスチャンを連想しそうで..... いや 悪くはないんですが.....
漱石の小説「虞美人草」 あるいは項羽の愛人「虞」のイメージの方が合いそうでこちらを選びました。
しかし 実際にサインの段階になって 画数の多さに気ずいて ちょっと後悔しています。
色数は多くはないのですが 花びら１枚１枚をグラデーション刷りしたので
刷り回数が増えて 刷りとしてはかなり手間のかかった作品になりました。

This is a kind of poppy, but from the image of this work, I titled it in Japanese.
At first I was torn between “ Hinageshi” and “ Gubijinnso”.
If taking the one, you may associate it with Agnes Chan.. of course not bad though..
I chose the latter with “Gubijinso” by Soseki or Kohu’s lover “Gu” in mind.
Writing in the title, I regretted a little “How many strokes this Chinese character has!”
Used colors are not so many but it required time and great care because of gradation printing for each petal.
I’m also showing it for the first time.

と云う所で 今年も漬け物シーズンになりました。
Now, the season of pickles!
毎年恒例の「沢庵漬け」と「白菜漬け」の他に
今年は札幌の実家からいい身欠きニシンを送ってもらったので
久し振りに「鰊漬け」も漬けようと思っています。
ちょっと気温が気になりますが（もちろん 低い方がいいのです）
果たして旨く漬かりますか どうか.....
食べごろはひと月後位ですかね 楽しみです。
I’m going to make Takuan and pickle Chinese cabbages.
In addition, I try to pickle herring and vegetables,
as I got good dried herrings from Sapporo.
I’m concerned about the temperature (the lower, the better of course)
I hope it will be done well.
