再び身近なシルク印刷のお話です。

今回は ほぉー こんなものまでシルク印刷なんだぁ という
極めつけをご紹介いたします。

これあたりは そんなに驚かれないでしようが....
耐候性の強いインクで刷って 高温で焼き付けて
より強く長持ちするように作ってあります。
It’s not so surprising.
The ink and the finishing are special for durability.
絵馬Votive picture tablet
神社やお寺などで売られている絵馬ですが
ほとんどと言って良い程シルク印刷です。
They are sold at shrines and temples.
Most of them are printed by silkscreen.
卒塔婆Stupa-shaped wooden tablet
お墓の背後によく添えられているものですが
この上の方の梵字や共通仏語がそうです。
以前はすべてお坊さんが書き込んでいたものですが
今は日付等個人的な表記だけ書くそうです....
何となく ありがたく無さそうですね。
最近では 専門のシルク屋さんに頼まないで
お寺自身で印刷している所もあるそうです...
You can see them in graves.
The common part of them i.e. Sanskrit letters and Buddhist terms are printed by Silkscreen.
In the past, every part was hand-written by monks, but now only private part,for example the date of death etc., which doesn’t make us appreciate.
There seems to be some temples printing by themselves recently.

表面の文字や絵柄を もちろんインクではなく
砂糖か何か練ったものを刷り込んでいるようです。
正直言って私もこれには驚きました。
ここまでシルク印刷が利用されているんですね。
多種多彩なシルク印刷の例を見てきましたが
まだ私の知らない分野もあるかもしれません。
この様な実用世界で利用されているシルク技法も
一部インクジェット出力などに取って代わられ
かなり衰退しているのが現状です。
やはり銅版画・石版画のようにシルクの技法も
版画の世界でのみ 生き延びてゆくのかも知れません....
Instead of ink, they print the images using edible stuff.
I was very surprised at this.
We saw various examples, but it may be used in other fields that I don’t know.
Replaced by ink jet printing, this method as practical use has experienced a sharp downturn in demand these days
Like Intaglio or Lithograph, it may survive only in art work” Hanga”
