２０１８年３月３１日（Sat.） 雨が降ってくれないので、畑の水遣りに行ってきました。　昨秋植えたニンニクは元気に育っています。　そして、ジャガイモの発芽は一週間後ぐらいと予測しています。

天宮ー１・宇宙ステーションが今週末、地球に落下する見込みです。



The out of control Chinese space station Tiangong-1 will fall to Earth this weekend, according to predictions.

The 40-feet long craft, which malfunctioned in 2016 and entered a decaying orbit soon after, will re-enter Earth’s atmosphere at some point between March 31 and April 1. Most of Tiangong is expected to burn up on re-entry, though some debris may withstand the enormous temperatures created by friction and fall down to Earth.

Statistically speaking, the chances of being hit by falling space debris are 1 in one trillion.

Pubs are opening today on Good Friday for the first time in 91 years.

The controversial decision was taken earlier this year but not everyone is happy about the new move.

Locals are praising publicans in the small town of Newmarket, Co. Cork, who have collectively decide to keep their doors firmly closed on Good Friday irrespective of the recent legislative change to that respect.

Newmarket, population 976, will remain dry on Good Friday, as publicans and bar owners say that it’s only one of two days off a year, along with Christmas Day.

Pubs and bars everywhere else are expected to be open for business on Good Friday for the first time in 91 years.

イースター（復活祭）に関連する日程の中での動きになります。　１２月のクリスマスと同様に、クリスチャンにとっては重要な日程なのでしょう。　こうしたことにも一定の知識があると、お互いの理解につながるのではないでしょうか。

何れにしても、宗教的な面でも、互に寛容でありたいものです。（基本的人権を損なうような行為・因習などは見直されるべきでしょうが）

ところで、最近、日本国内においても、レジ袋（ビニール袋）やプラスティック廃棄物などが問題になりつつあると報道されています。　ようやく？　と思いますが、まだまだ、実態の報道は不足しているように感じています（全てを観ているわけではありませんが）。

そうした面でも、どこかの政権の招いている ”混乱” が影響（時間を浪費させている）しているように思えます。

ドイツ（Germany）： Ludwigshafen police officer

Ludwigshafen の警察官が、頼りない男子の交友を終わらせるための手助けをしました。

A man walked into a police station and said he wanted to break up with his girlfriend but did not know how. A police officer took him aside and offered one of, perhaps, 50 ways for him to leave her.
一人の男性が警察署に来て、彼女と別れたいのですが、どうしたら良いかわからないと言いました。　一人の警察官が彼に、多分、５０の別れ方を伝えました。（一部、意訳）



A 34-year-old man took the motto "The police, your friend and helper" to heart when he walked into the police station on Tuesday.

His problem was a personal one: He wanted to break up with his girlfriend but did not know how. He just did not understand her anymore, he said.

One of the female officers took him aside and proposed several alternative scenarios. The police force did not describe what options had been suggested to the man, but were very clear that the actual breaking-up was a job he would have to do himself.

"We are willing to advise, but we can not close the deal," the police reported afterward. "We help everyone, and we always have an open ear for citizens' concerns."

Whether the man took the advice is not yet known.

Ludwigshafen is a city on the Rhine River 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of Frankfurt.

ある意味、この警察署（女性警官）のとった行動は心温まる対応だったと思います。　しかし、３４歳にもなった男性は、何らかの方法を自ら考えることができなかったのでしょうか・・・。

一方で、こうした話題がＤＷ－ＤＥにＵＰされるぐらい平穏な社会・世界が続くことを期待したいものですが、それは淡い望みでしょうね。

２０１８年３月２８日（Wed.） 満開の桜の下、かなりの人が花見を楽しんでいたようです。　気温も２５℃を上回ったと思われます。（愛知県平野部）

裸の冒険：　来月（４月）、アイルランドとしては初の公式なヌーディスト・ビーチがオープンします。



Ireland will officially have its first ever recognised nudist beach from next month at Hawk Cliff beach in Dalkey in County Dublin.

Although the beach has already been home to nudists and those wearing swimsuits in the past, the beach will be officially recognised as a nudist beach as Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council will place signs at the beach informing the public of nudist swimmers.

The move which has had both a positive and negative response was implemented after Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council deemed past nudist activities at the beach legal.

However the decision has not gone down well with parents of young children in the area, with many fearing the decision could cause more inappropriate activities at the beach.

It is expected that the sign postings will be placed at the beach from next month.

この地域の子供を持つ親からは良くは受け止められていません。　それは、ビーチで好ましからざる行動の原因になり得ると考えられているからです。
来月から、このビーチにはその旨の表示がなされると思われます。

強制ではなく、自由意志に基づいているのであれば、こうした場所へ行ってみるのも悪くはないと思います。　但し、どこにでも悪意を有したヤカラはいますので、それに対する防備もすべきでしょうね。

ところで、私の体調復活にはあと一歩のところですが、最近は１９３０年代のスペイン内戦に関連する書籍を読んでいます。　ジョージ・オーウェルやヘミングウェイなどもそうです。

結局は１９３９年に、ファシストのフランコ将軍の一派がスペインの政権を掌握することになります。　しかし、それに至る共和派などの動静を読んでいると、まるで、現在の日本における野党の動きにも重なって見えてきてしまいます。

歴史は繰り返すとも言われますが、良識ある人は歴史に学んで ”進化” するのでしょう、良い意味で。　（決して、”退行” であってはなりません。）

ＵＳとＥＵ各国等は、ＵＫを支持するとして、１３０人以上のロシア外交官を国外追放します。



The UK has been given overwhelming support over the past few days as more than 130 Russian diplomats across Europe and US have been expelled.

In a response to the recent poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter, leaders across the globe have responded by pledging their support to the British Government by telling diplomats situated in many cities to leave their country.

Although Ireland have yet to formally announce their stance, countries including the US, Canada, Spain and Australia have aligned with the British Government’s stance and banish diplomatic representatives from their territories.

The move which has been dubbed the largest ever expulsion of Russian operatives comes after former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were poisoned with a deadly nerve agent in Salisbury, southern England.

Following the attack which could have potentially put many lives at risk, many EU leaders have agreed that it was highly likely that Russian government were behind the deadly attack.

That announcement combined with the expulsion of diplomats has now left the Russian government even more angred as they have repeatedly denied having any involvement in the attack.

Following the removal of diplomats 60 of which reside in the US, the Russian Russian foreign ministry said the moves demonstrated a continuation of a “confrontational path”.

“It goes without saying that this unfriendly act by this group of countries will not go without notice and we will react to it.”

Meanwhile the UK have welcomed the decision by foreign government’s saying that extraordinary international response shows that European democracy will stand together against threats and aggression issued by Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

客観的証拠などから、ロシアの関与が濃厚なのでしょうが、ロシア政府側は絶対にこれを認めることはないのでしょう。

ロシアでの政治が絡んだ暗殺事件はしばしば報じられてきています。　記憶に新しいところではボリス・ネムツォフ氏の銃による殺害事件で、どう見ても、政敵を狙った暗殺事件と見るのが妥当ではないでしょうか。　他にも、反体制派や批判派に対する非合法な殺傷事件もあります。

政治的な対抗勢力を、卑劣な方法で葬り去るなど、暗黒政治・独裁政治に等しく、それは民主主義の否定であることは言を俟ちません。

多くの人が理不尽・不条理と考えることを、徒党を組んでごり押しする姿は、どこかの国の某政権にも共通するものを感じてしまいます。

やはり、三権分立が堅持されていなくて、司法が実質的に独立していない体制にも問題の一端があるのでしょう、それだけではありませんが・・・。
