２０１８年８月３１日（Fri.） 秋雨前線が南下してきた影響で、午後になって雨が降っています。 時折り、遠くから雷の音も伝わってきています。
ところで、今朝、ベランダのレモンの木にいたアゲハの幼虫（青虫）が居なくなっていました。 早速、可能性のある場所をいくつか覗いて見ると、居ました。 まだ、色は黄緑色ですが、サナギになるポーズをして壁にジッとしています。 現在、段ボール箱にサナギ２匹、そして壁に１匹、計３匹が羽化を待っています。 何れもナミアゲハです。

Reykjavík Residents Support Pedestrian Streets
レイキャビクの住人は歩行者道路を支持しています。



The majority of Reykjavík residents have a positive opinion of pedestrian-only streets in the city centre, Kjarninn reports. The data is from a recent opinion poll conducted by Maskína for the City of Reykjavík.

Overall, 71% of residents say they have a positive opinion of pedestrian streets while 11% say their opinion is negative. Unsurprisingly, the more often residents visit pedestrian streets, the happier they report being with the initiative.

Laugavegur, Bankastræti, Skólavorðustígur, and Austurstræti are just a few of the streets in Reykjavík’s downtown core which are converted into pedestrian-only zones between May 1 and October 1 every year. A quarter of residents said they wanted the zones to be pedestrian-only year-round, more than double the number in a poll conducted last year.

迂回のための主要道を確保した上で、街の中心部は歩行者や自転車専用とし、且つ、オープン・カフェなどもある交流空間として街づくりがされるのであれば、人も集うことになるのでしょう。

こうした面でも、地方議会や行政等が力を発揮してもらいたいものです。 但し、その動機が、一部の私企業等の利益を狙った不公正なものであってはなりません。

安倍政治は、如何に本人が否定しても、現実に、友人知人を優遇していて、公正さが歪められているので、多くの国民が許せないと声をあげているのです。 しかも、行政文書等も改竄や破棄・隠蔽までが意図的にされていますので、犯罪までも誘発してしまっているあるまじき政権と言えるでしょう。

普通ならば、そうした事態・疑義が生じたのであれば、リセットしてやり直しをするのが妥当な判断でしょうが、擁護はしても、一切、やり直しを指示していないので、自ら不正を助長していることを証明しているに等しいのです。 実に、虚言の塊です。 そして、国民がボーッとしているのは、マスコミがボーッとしているか、または、操作しているからでしょう。

アイルランド発（datelined Ireland）： stalled on a level crossing

２０１８年８月３０日（Thu.） 昨日は初めて飲むアイリッシュ・ウィスキー（ TEELING ）を楽しみました。 ラム酒の樽で熟成しているタイプで、アルコール度数は４６度で高いのですが、ほのかな香りとアイリッシュ特有のスッキリした飲み口が印象的でした。

Horrifying: Teenage girl killed during driving test after instructor flees car which stalled on a level crossing
恐怖： １０代の女性が、ドライブ・テスト中に、踏切でエンストした車から教官が逃げ出して死んでしまいました。



An 18 year old woman has tragically died after her car stalled on a busy railway line whilst she was taking her driving test in southern Poland.

The young woman sadly lost her life after the vehicle was struck by oncoming train in the village of Zaskale.

According to Polish state media, the young woman who has been named only as Angelika was tragically left to die after her instructor fled the vehicle uninjured whilst it stalled at a level crossing on the busy line.

It is reported that the instructor a 62-year-old man left Angelika inside the car as she panicked trying to remove the car from the tracks.

A number of eyewitness who saw the horrific collision told reporters that the instructor who has since been condemned for his actions on social media, also done nothing to help the desperate teenager as she lay dying inside the badly damaged vehicle.

事故は village of Zaskale で起きました。 やってきた列車に衝突されて彼女は死亡しました。 報道によると、名前が Angelika とだけしか明らかになっていませんが、往来の激しい路線の踏切でエンストし、教官は逃げ出してしまっての出来事でした。 この教官は６２歳の男性で、車を動かそうとしてパニックになっている女子を残したまま逃げたのでした。
悲惨な衝突を見た多くの目撃者によって状況が伝えられ、彼（教官）の行動がSNSで非難を浴びています。 さらに、衝突された車に残された彼女に対して何も助けなかったとされています。

It is believed Angelika, suffered a serious head injury and had laboured breathing as bystanders tried to save her life.

One eyewitness told reporters that the instructor somehow managed to flee the vehicle before the train struck the car.

They added: “The train had been sounding its horns for several minutes and the frantic young woman eventually got the car started but unfortunately it was too late.”

Meanwhile another eyewitness said the instructor did nothing to assist those trying to rescue the badly injured teenager who sadly passed away in hospital in Nowy Targ, a short time later.

It is believed the train which struck the car had been traveling between the towns of Nowy Targ and Zakopane when the tragic accident occurred.

Meanwhile the District Prosecutors office in Nowy Targ have confirmed they are currently reviewing CCTV footage and have launched an investigation into the incident.

ドイツ発（datelined Germany）： calls for 'justice to be done'

２０１８年８月２９日（Wed.） 今朝の羽鳥の司会するニュース番組で、マイクロプラスティック等による海洋汚染の問題を大きく取り上げていました。 先日（８月１７日）も放送していましたが、今回の方が、より詳しい内容だったと思います。 加えて、水道水にもマイクロプラスティックが入ってしまっていることを紹介していましたので、一般の人に対する警鐘になったと感じました。 同様に、社会的に不可思議なことや、納得出来ないことなどについても、追及・報道してもらいたいものです。 視聴率稼ぎが目的ではなく、社会的に放置すべきでない問題点や課題を周知する役割等が報道機関にはあるでしょう。

As of Monday evening, more than 18,000 people had signed a petition to Moroccan King Mohammed VI to provide support for a young woman who was tortured and held captive for two months.
"During her captivity, she was subjected to every torture imaginable: She was repeatedly raped by 15 men, beaten, deprived of food and basic sanitary needs, and had her body forcibly tattooed by her captors," petition organizers wrote.
The 17-year-old told the Moroccan broadcaster Chouf TV that she was kidnapped in June and held for two months by a gang of men in Oulad Ayad, a small town about 150 kilometers (90 miles) northeast of Marrakesh.

During her captivity, men would visit the house where she was held and pay the kidnappers to rape her, she said. "They didn't give me food or drink, and I was not even allowed to take a shower."
"I want justice to be done and [for them] to pay for what they have done to me," she added, according to the website Morocco World News.
Her father, Mohammed, told DW's Arabic service that officials, activists and journalists had reached out to the family. "A medical committee comprising associations, doctors and the Health Ministry will be formed to provide health care and psychological support for my daughter so that she can reintegrate into society," he said.
At least 12 people have been arrested in connection with the case, Naima Ouahli, of the Moroccan Association of Human Rights, told the AFP news agency. Mohammed confirmed that number. "Twelve people have been arrested so far, but that number could grow," he said.

Nationwide issue
Activists have pushed for more rights and stronger punishments to deter sexual violence against women following several high-profile cases over the past year.
More than 50 percent of Moroccan women have been subjected to violence in some form, according to a report by the country's National Observatory on Violence Against Women. Those under the age of 30 and without paid work are the most vulnerable, Morocco's national security body reported.
Earlier this year, parliament adopted a new law to combat violence against women. Although the law provided new protections for survivors, human rights groups said it didn't go far enough.
"Few women will be able to get protection from their abusers under this law, as it requires a prosecution and a conviction of their abusers — and yet, little is provided in the law to set out duties of authorities to arrest, prosecute and convict abusers," Rothna Begum, Middle East and North Africa women's rights researcher at Human Rights Watch, said in February.

８月２４日に掲載した内容から、さらに厳しい事件内容が報道されています。 監禁者は、お金を払わせて、少女を強姦させていたと言うことでしょう。 このモロッコの地区が、どのような社会水準にあるのかわかりませんが、人間にあるまじき行為であると言えます。

首謀者や加担者には、極刑以外は考えられません。 これは過失ではなく意図的なものであり、悪質性は超高いと言えるでしょう。

また、18,000人以上の人が抗議行動に出たことは当然でしょう。

日本でも、理不尽なことがまかり通るようなら、そして、報道も徹底せず、行政・司法までもが歪められているのであれば、市民が街頭に出て、その意思を示すしかないでしょう。

ボーッとしていると、スターリン独裁のような悪政暴政に陥り、国民が大被害を受けることになります。

２０１８年８月２８日（Tue.） 秋雨前線の影響で、曇と程よいにわか雨になっています。（愛知県平野部） そんな中、久しぶりに名古屋市名東区にある Iceland Market に行って来ました。 前回（２ヶ月前）とランチメニューは少し変わっていましたが、デザートも含めて美味しくいただきました。
また、HPにはUPされていませんが、店内情報によると、８月３０日（木曜日）から、夜の部の営業も始めるようです。 但し、毎日ではなく、木曜・金曜・土曜の１８〜２２時となっています。 気になる方は、直接、お店に確認してみては如何でしょうか。

Large iceberg north of West Fjords





A large iceberg is now located by Hornbanki, about 40 miles northeast of Horn, the northernmost part of the West Fjords. It is stuck at a depth of 100 m.

“This is huge,” remarks Guðmundur Gísli Geirdal, skipper on Gísli KÓ-10. “I sailed all the way up to it, and some pieces were falling from it,” he tells mbl.is.

“It’s at a location where I’ve been catching very large fish, and I sailed all the way to it and caught quite a bit of the large fish. I got four tubs of [cod], over 20 kg a piece. That, of course, is amazing,” Guðmundur states.

Another fairly large iceberg, with two towers is now located 6 km north-northwest of Reykjaneshyrna, which is on the east side of the West Fjords. It is about 18 km from the shore, drifting west, the Icelandic Met Office reports.

ドイツ（Germany）： Lost dog rescued

２０１８年８月２７日（Mon.） 午前中、屋外での作業を２時間ほど行いましたが、照りつける日差しで体力も限界、気温は３５〜３６℃ぐらいでした。 午後には３８℃ぐらいに上昇しましたが、 これはやはり異常と考えるべきでしょう。

Lost dog rescued after spending 11 days in German Alps
ドイツのアルプスで、１１日間も経ってから不明だった犬が救出されました。

Locals could hear 8-year-old Barry's barks become weaker and weaker, but they struggled to locate the lost pooch. A crack team of national park staff in southern Germany managed to find the dog and carry him down.
８歳になる犬の鳴き声は次第に弱くなっていました。 しかし、地元の人達は不明になっている犬を必死に探しました。（意訳） ドイツ南部の国立公園の一流のチームは、その犬を発見し運んだのです。



A German holidaymaker has been reunited with her dog after it went missing for 11 days in Berchtesgaden National Park on the German border with Austria.
Eight-year-old mongrel Barry escaped from his owner on August 12, while they were descending from the Kärlingerhaus mountain lodge — which can only be reached on foot — to the Königssee Lake.
A team of national park rangers searched for the hound over several days after his barks were heard by hikers and local residents. But they were unable to trace him.

Barks weakened
Over the subsequent days, his barks became weaker and were heard less often, leading rescuers to presume that his health was weakening.
On Thursday, they deployed a thermal imaging camera and set off on the Sagerecksteig trail, which runs through the park, in a final attempt to track down the pet.
Despite no sound from Barry, they searched almost impassable terrain around the rock face before the camera picked up a small bright spot, which quickly disappeared behind a bush.
"It was only a short moment, but I was sure that this had to be a dog," forest ranger Tilman Piepenbrink said.

Trapped on a sleep slope
As the search was intensified, Barry was eventually found 150 meters (500 feet) above the lake on a 70-degree steep grassy slope. He was trapped directly above a 100-meter drop.
Rescuers had to descend 40 meters down another steep section of the mountain to reach him, in an operation that took five hours.
"When he was rescued, Barry was completely apathetic, he didn't even notice me and didn't move," National Park ranger Fritz Eder said, adding that he looked like he was made of "skin and bones."
The emaciated pet was taken to a veterinary clinic, where he was given a full bill of health, and later reunited with his tearful owner.

１１日間も生き延びたことにも感心しますが、熱検知カメラで発見し、且つ、困難な場所から救出した一連の活動に敬意を表したいものです。

何事にも諦めない、納得するまで時間を使う・・・ドイツ人。 ウーム、ドイツ人気質を感じさせられました。

２０１３年、ドイツに滞在した時、しばしば、ドイツ人気質を感じさせるシーンを私も体験しています。 親切でもあるんです、ドイツの人は。

また、人種に対する差別・偏見はないように感じましたし、 逆に、日本人や日本の文化に対する関心が高いと見えました。

外交に武力は必要ありません（原則としては）。 話し合う努力をすれば、合意点は見いだせることでしょう。 それが出来ないと言うことは、発想が貧困で、政治も貧困であると言えるでしょう。
