アイルランド： 人懐っこいアザラシ

２０１７年８月３１日（Thu.） ８月も今日で終り、地方によっては秋の気配を感じることが出来ているのかも知れません。　但し、台風１５号の影響は関東・東北地方に出だしているようです、ご注意を！

This friendly seal was in a playful mood as it waved to a passing coastguard team on a weekly training exercise.

The repeated greeting was caught on camera by Howth Coast Guard as it conducted a session in Dublin Bay.

The super cute footage, shared on the coastguard’s Twitter and Facebook page, attracted hundreds of likes, retweets and shares.

Donnchadh Mac Cobb (31) from Dublin, was taking part in the training on Monday evening outside Howth Harbour.

He said: “We’d just completed a few search patterns and stopped to debrief. We hear a noise and there was this big fella sitting in the water right beside us.

“One of the fellas says we should head off and waved at him and then he waved back.

“I’m completely guessing but with the amount of people on the pier and kids waving down on them then there might be a bit of imitation going on.”

People couldn’t resist having some fun with the video.

The coastguard’s video is not the first time the seals of Howth Harbour have been catapulted into fame.

One seal who likes to wave at tourists and boats, has his own Facebook page under the name “Sammy the Howth Harbour Seal“.

Pictures of a seal known as “Cheery Charlie” circulated in 2011. He waved to encourage tourists to throw their fish treats to him over rivals, according to a Daily Mail report.

知能の高い海獣もいるようです。　また、こうした触れ合いは心を癒してくれる面もありますね。

一方で、我欲・私欲・利己・メンツ・野望、等々。　考え方一つで世界の平和は実現できると思うのですが。　いたずらに危機を煽る安倍政権にはウンザリです。　国民を守るためと言いつつ、Ｊアラートなるものを発してみたり、集団的自衛権の行使を試みようとしたり・・・、全く、歴史に学ぼうとはしていません。　危険な極右勢力（全体主義、国家主義、ファシズム、ナチなど）と言えます。　そもそも、日本会議が宗教色を帯びていますし、自民党の多くの議員をも含む、彼らは民主主義を破壊していると言えるでしょう。

公正・中立なマスコミは、こうした懸念も大きく取り上げるべきでしょうね。　真実を国民に知らせるために・・・です。

デンマーク： コペンハーゲンのホテルは高い・・・

２０１７年８月３０日（Wed.） 昨日に続いて今日も暑い一日になっています。　そして、月曜日のクロアゲハの羽化に続いて、２匹目が今朝羽化、およそ５時間後、午前１１時頃には飛び立って行きました。　残るは１匹、４・５日後には羽化することでしょう・・・。

さて、コペンハーゲン（ＣＰＨ）の物価は高いと良く言われますが、ホテル料金も高いと発表されています。　（　ニュースソース：　CPH POST ONLINE　８月３０日発　）

According to a new survey by online hotel room compare site Cheaprooms.co.uk, Copenhagen is the most expensive city in Europe when it comes to hotel prices.

The survey found the average price for the most affordable available double room (minimum 3-star hotel) from 1-30 September 2017 in Copenhagen to be 189 euros (1,406 kroner).

“Copenhagen is already known as an expensive city, and its position at the top of these latest rankings will come as little surprise,” wrote Cheaprooms.co.uk.

（抜粋）イギリスのあるオンライン・サイトの調査によると、ホテル料金に関して言えば、ＣＰＨがヨーロッパで一番高いとされました。　調査は、３スターホテルのダブル・ルームで購入し易いレベルのものの平均値で比較、期間はこの９月１～３０日（２０１７年）で、ＣＰＨでは１８９ユーロです。
ＣＰＨは既に一つの高い（物価）都市として知られていますが、今回の調査によるそのポジションは少しのサプライズでしたと、調査した関係者が語っています。

ＣＰＨには２０１２年の４月と７月に行っていますし、デンマーク滞在中に物価のことについて現地の人に聞いたこともあります。　それなりに、物価（消費税含む）は高いと感じたものもありますし、日本とあまり変わらないと思ったものも少なくありません。

当時、ＣＰＨでのホテル予約は、全て個人で行っています（ネットで）。　宿泊費や場所の確認もネットでできるので、納得できる施設で宿泊できましたし、失敗はありませんでした。　ＣＰＨの中央駅まで歩いて数分の場所で、そこを起点にして中心街を歩き周りました。

また、ＥＵ全体としてですが、販売価格の表示は、税別価格ではなくて、税額を含んだ価格なので、支払時のわかり易さは日本より優れていると今も思っています（頭の中で計算する必要はありません）。

ドイツ発： Austria's self-charging bikes

電動アシスト自転車には関心がありましたが、日本国内で販売されているものの多くは、重量で２０ｋｇ以上あって、通常の走行時には支障がないと思われますが、階段などで昇り降りしなければならない時には、持ち上げる重量として危険な重さなのです。

なので、品定めに大型の自転車専門店に行ったこともありますが、購入するには至りませんでした。

しかし、今回のこのオーストリア製は、ＨＰによると、基本モデルは３種類あって、１０ｋｇ～１２ｋｇ程度、電動アシスト自転車とは思えないような、通常の自転車の重量レベルなのです。　さらに、作動させるための充電については、自己充電（走行中）方式なので、この点も優位性がありそうです。

なのですが、日本で入手可能なのかどうか？　今しばらく時間が必要なのかも知れません。　（日本のメーカーが同等製品を開発・販売できると良いのですが、工業所有権などの点でも難しい点があるのかも知れません。）

今後も注目しておきたい情報です、個人的には。

ドイツ発： 'chemical mist' hits British beach

２０１７年８月２８日（Mon.） ベランダにいたクロアゲハ、サナギ１４日目の今朝、ついに羽化しました。　ショーは午前６時から開始、４時間ほどで羽根がシッカリして、無事に飛び立って行きました。　クロアゲハと予測していましたが、成虫の文様や、青虫の時の文様と合わせて調べなおした結果、｢クロアゲハ｣ で間違いないようです。　類似のオナガアゲハの可能性もあったのですが、青虫の文様が違っていますので、クロアゲハで確定です。

結局、原因は不明のままの状態ですが、何らかの有害物質（ガス）が飛散していたことは事実でしょう。　まァ、予測不可能なもの・ことはいくらでもあると言うことでしょうか。

しかし、予測可能なことに関しては、注意を怠らないようにしたいものです。

今朝、巣立（？）ったクロアゲハの写真をＵＰします。　ちなみに、まだ２匹（サナギ）がベランダにいます。　こちらは、あと数日程度で羽化する見込みです。　それにしても、クロアゲハは大きいですね。

２０１７年８月２７日（Sun.） どこかで聞いたことがあるような言葉（映画）ですが、ボトルが漂着した場所はガザ地区だそうです。　こちらも解決は、ほど遠いのでしょうか・・・。　（　ニュースソース：　The Journal.ie　８月２７日発　）

A MESSAGE IN a bottle cast into the sea by a holidaying British couple on the island of Rhodes has washed up on the blockaded Gaza Strip,

Fisherman Jihad al-Soltan retrieved the bottle while fishing on 15 August.

Using the email address supplied, his family contacted the senders of the letter, Bethany Wright and her boyfriend Zac Marriner.

It had travelled a lot further, around 800 kilometres (500 miles), before Soltan retrieved it.

“They never expected it to reach Gaza!” he said.

The crowded coastal territory is largely closed off to the world under a crippling, decade-long Israeli blockade aimed at isolating Hamas, the Islamist movement which runs the territory.

Israel and Hamas have fought three wars since 2008.

Egypt, the only other country that shares a border with Gaza, has also largely sealed its frontier.

Fishing off the northern part of the strip, adjacent to Israel, is limited to six nautical miles offshore and the Israeli navy regularly fires at Palestinians at the zone’s outer limit.

Post to Gaza usually goes through Israeli security measures.

イスラエルやパレスチナ自治問題は、世界紛争の根源の一つとも言えるのかも知れませんし、未だに、恒久的な解決には至っていないと言うことでしょう。

ギリシャに休暇旅行に来たイギリス人カップルが流したボトルが、このガザ地区に届いたことは偶然なのかも知れませんが、回収した漁師の家族がカップルにコンタクトしたことが、何かの解決への糸口につながるといいのですが・・・、夢ですかね。

でも、チョットしたキッカケで物事が進展することもありますので、こうした出来事も大切にしたいと、私は考えます。
