The city of Manchester to once again reunite to pay their respects to those killed in the Manchester Arena bombing

The city of Manchester will once again be united today as a number of ceremonies will take place to mark the one year anniversary of the Manchester Arena bombing.

In what will another hard day for the families of those killed and injured in the attack, the city will come together to pay their respects to the 22 people who sadly lost their lives in the attack.

The one year anniversary will be marked by a national service of commemoration at Manchester’s cathedral, which will see a number of high profile figures including the Duke of Cambridge and the British Prime Minister Theresa May in attendance.

Meanwhile a nationwide minute’s silence will be observed all across the UK, at 2.30pm to honour those killed in the devastating attack.

It has also been confirmed that the bells of St Ann’s Church will ring out at 10.31pm to mark the moment of the explosion at the Manchester Arena.

The ceremonies come after 22 people were tragically killed and hundreds more were seriously injured, following a bomb attack during an Ariana Grande concert on the 22nd of May 2017.
