篠笛に限らず一般素人の方が楽器等を始める場合
ー特に中高年の方々が趣味などでー
多くはまず 指導者のいる教室や
あるいは公共のサークルなどに参加して 習い始めるのが普通ですが.....
私の場合 そういう処へ行くのが面倒なので
いきなり息子に笛を選んでもらって購入
同時に篠笛の入門教本も買って
一人で見よう見まねで しゃにむに音を出す練習を始めました。
これが結構 以外に早く音が出せる様になったんですね。
元々篠笛は田楽やお神楽など民衆・農民の楽器としても
発展してきたものですから 難しく考えなくとも
いいのではないかというのが 私の気持ちでした。
私が使った教則本
これらの本は実に親切丁寧に書かれていて
どなたでもすぐに吹ける様になります。
（いい音かどうかは別として....）
練習曲も日本の古歌・民謡から 現代の唱歌 フォークソングまで
難易度の低い物から高い曲など至れり尽くせり揃っています。
篠笛自体も今ではネットに非常に沢山出ていますので
平均的な篠笛として「唄物 八本調子」という笛を目安に選ぶ方法もあります。

I learned the Sino-bue by my self not taking a lesson or not joining a club for that.
It didn’t take me longer to produce a sound than expected.
As they originally have developed as the instruments for people’s festivals or rituals,
every one can play it to some extent.
Some good textbooks or manuals are available these days.
From old songs to modern folk songs, and from for the beginners to for the advanced, there are various pieces in the books.

話しは変わって この菊です。
葉っぱはもう既に全部落ちていますが 花はまだまだ綺麗です。
これ 昨年の１２月２８日にお正月用に買った花達の一つです。
他の花はとっくに枯れてしまったのですが
この菊だけ どうも枯れる気がしないようです。
不思議というか ここまでくると不気味です。
This chrysanthemum is still beautiful, its leaves all fell though.
It is one of flowers we bought for this New Years.
The rest of flowers already died.
But she (or he) apparently doesn’t feel like dying!
It’s strange as rather weird.
