版画は資産や投資にはむかないというお話をしましたが
世界的に見ても 版画の認識は
どちらかというと「複製品」あるいは「印刷物」として
捉えられているようです。
日本版画協会会員で多摩美大の教授をされている方のお話ですが
ある若い版画家がパリの画廊へ自作の版画を見せにいったところ
散々見たあげく画廊主は「ところで タブローは？」と聞いたそうです。
版画家であると告げた上で訪問したのにです。
私も似た様な経験がつい最近ありました。

私の版画のカタログを見せたのですが
やはり「絵画はないのか？」と言われました。
「無い」というと不思議そうな 残念そうな表情を浮かべていました。
要するに版画は絵画作家の余技としてしか
見られていないようなのです..... つづく

Worldwide, Hangas seem to be recognized as kind of reproductions or printed matters.
A Tama Art University’s professor, who is a member of Japan Print Association
talked about a young Hanga artist who showed his works to a gallery in Paris.
After spending a lot of time on seeing them, the owner asked “By the way, where are your paintings?” he informed in advance that he was a Hanga artist though.
I’ve had the same experience more recently.
When I showed a catalogue of my works to a gallery owner from Beijing, she asked
“ Don’t you have your paintings?”
“No” when I responded, she had puzzled and disappointed look.
In short, Hangas seem to be regarded as an avocation of painters.

＜お知らせ＞
こちらで私の札幌での個展のお知らせをしましたが
どうしても開催する事が出来ない事情が出てきまして
急遽中止することにいたしました。
残念なのですが また改めてそう遠くない時期に開催するつもりでおります。
今 新しい構想での作品を制作中ですので 次回の個展にそれらをまとめて
皆様に見ていただきたいと思っております。 啓
