その１・その２・その３は
一応良く知られている物語の流れに沿って描いています。
副題の「邁進」・「夢中」・「回帰」も
それぞれのシーンを強調するために付けました。
I pictured “Urashima1,2,3” according to the course of the well-known story.
And I subtitled them ”Advance” “Enamored” “ Recurrence ” respectively to emphasize
each scene.
「浦島物語」はいかようにも解釈できる
不思議なお話であるところが魅力なのですが
私は 明治以降の日本 あるいは戦後から現在までの
日本の歴史的な流れにも似ているところを感じて
この様な副題を付けてみました。
次回は日本版画協会展に出品した
「Song of Earth Urashima Tarou」のお話です。
“Urashima” is a wonderful story you can interpret anyway, which makes it attractive.
I feel that the course of the story is similar to that of Japanese history, for example,
after the Meiji Era or from the postwar period to the present day, so entitled like these.
Next time, I‘ll post “ Song of Earth Urashima Taro”
＜CWAJ現代版画展について＞
College Women's Association of Japanは
戦後 日本の女子留学生支援のために設立され
その資金獲得の手段として日本の創作版画家の
作品を展示販売するチャリティー展を始めました。
今年で５４回になります。
現在では１５０名前後の作家が選択され
毎年１０月中旬に東京アメリカンクラブで開催されています。
日本現代版画の一側面が展覧できると共に
日本人留学生だけではなく 海外からの留学生支援や
障害者支援にも役立っている素晴らしい展覧会です。
