１月の第３月曜日は、マーティン・ルーサー・キング牧師の祝日である。
彼の１月１５日の誕生日に近い日だそうだが、なぜ１月１５日でないのかは、わからない。
この日は、学校やお役所は休みだが、普通の企業は休みでないところが、かなり多い。

その休み時、愛海が「マーティン・ルーサー・キングって学校で習ったよ。」と言ってきた。
「何した人？」と聞くと。
「あのね、Ｐｅａｃｅｆｕｌ Ｉｓｓｕｅ Ｒｅｓｏｌｕｔｉｏｎをした人。学校でビデオ見たんだ。」
「なに、それ？」
「え～と、ＰｅａｃｅｆｕｌにＩｓｓｕｅをＲｅｓｏｌｕｔｉｏｎしたんだよ。」
間に”に”と”を”が入っただけ。

愛海が続ける、「あのね、戦わないの。しゃべるだけ。それだけなの。」
連想ゲームが出来そうなアバウトな説明だ。
説明が全て、愛海の中で通訳されている。

他人と比較して、他人が自分より優れていたとしても、それは恥ではない。
しかし、去年の自分より今年の自分が優れていないのは、立派な恥だ。
