アイルランドで1年過ごしてから旅に出て、ドイツ→モロッコ→スペイン→エジプト→ケニア→ウガンダ→ルワンダ→タンザニア→UAE→スリランカ→マレーシア→シンガポール→オーストラリアと2ヵ月かけて回り先日帰国しました。写真は時系列で並べてます。

Time flies by as fast as ever.. just got back to Osaka, Japan after spending a year in Dublin, Ireland and a 2 month hectic fun journey in Germany, Morocco, Spain, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, UAE, Sri lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia(The photos are set in chronological order).
Let me skip all the details of my life overseas in the last 10 years as it will be a tedious story.. Anyway, I feel like I am totally a freshman in the Japanese society, actually that's true.
At the moment, I'm hell-bent on setting up my own football/soccer academy in Osaka, Japan. I have no clue where the next journey will take me to.. , but no regrets on every decision I made in the past 10 years and next 10 years too. Will definitely visit you guys again in the future, and let me know when you visit Japan.

Two entries in two days in a row!!
Today, I will be going to put two stories together in this entry. Almost 3 weeks ago, I went down to a training session of Vissel Kobe U14 side, categorized as the junior youth in Japan between 13 to 15 years old in Japan. I had never seen any practice of the J-league clubs in the category, but it was overwhelming!!
The coach, Mr Takagi for the Vissel U14 side says, coaching this age group is very exciting for me cuz in Japan, transition between 12 to 13 years old can be a huge turning point for every kid. They advance to a junior high school from an elementary school in Japan and they tend to change themselve at that time frame since they are going to have a new life, new classmates in their school and also new teammates and a new coach.
In restropect, I was one of them at that time too. I was forced to play as a center back in the team until 12 years old cuz I was phisically growing up faster than other kids, so The coach wanted me to play in the position that I never wanted to play. But as soon as I advanced to the team in my junior high school, I tried to be a diferent player that is more technical and impressed the new coach where I should be playing in the games.
So I was truly convinced by his remark and thought on why it is the most exciting age group in soccer coaching.
連日のブログになります。
今回は、ヴィッセル神戸ジュニアユース（中１）を指導する高木コーチのコーチングを視察した時の模様です。Jリーグ下部組織の中学年代の練習を見るのは初めてでしたが、小学生世代とは体格も変わり迫力も違いましたね。コーチの高木さんに、他のカテゴリーでの指導も興味があるのですか？と質問した時に、この年代を指導するのが一番おもしろいと言っていたのが印象的です。中学１年は、子ども達にとって大きな節目で、今までやってきたメンバーが中学に上がることで一新され、子ども達も「変わろう」という意識が強く、変化が目に見えて表れるので、能力の上がり方も一番伸びる時期なんだとそうです。
確かに自分自身も、小学校から中学に変わり環境が変わって、自分が本当にしたいポジション、プレーを中学に上がるタイミングでやってやろうと思って意気込んでいたのを覚えています。そういう意味ではコーチとして、どんどん伸びていく、変化していく子ども達が多くてやりがいを感じられるという意見には素直に「その通りだな」と思いました。
Next one is when I went out for dinner with the coaches of the ladies team of Cerezo Osaka who contends in the second division of Japanese women's league and also with the coach of Owada SSC who played for the same local club when I was younger. It was a great catch up and spent fruitful time with them in a productive conversation.
And I need to apologize for getting drunk so bad and fell asleep in a toilet of the bar we went...Lol

そして、こちらはなでしこリーグ２部を戦うセレッソレディースの監督である竹花さんと、コーチの岡本さん。カナダにいた時の知人から紹介していただき、練習の視察をさせて頂くことになり、先日食事に誘っていただきました。そして私の奥にいるのが、地元で大和田サッカークラブの監督をしている中野監督。中野さんとは２つ先輩ですが、小学校時代から同じ少年サッカークラブに所属していて、セレッソに選手を送っているところから共通の知人ということで今回、こういった場が実現しました。
たくさんのサッカー談義、おもしろい話、最後に酔いすぎてトイレで寝てしまう失態も犯しましたが、素晴らしい夜でした。
本当に皆さんありがとうございました。
Hi, guys.
Following the outing for Vissel Kobe, I went out to meet a coach at one of the biggest soccer academies in Kansai area, Amitie FC. It is a well-organized local club and still a amateur club, but they are aiming to break through the barrier between Amateur and Pro. Their first team plays in the first division of Kansai regional league that is the 5th division from the top(J-league).
The coach I went to meet usually coaches kids who go to elementary schools, but he has coached for a large number of kids in different age groups includingthe junior youth category. And his way of coaching is very peculiar and special that is in common with what I want to do in Japan when I open my own academy.
What he is unique in coaching is that he puts more importance on how he can make kids enjoy every session he holds. His class is not only for producing a professional player but forming a great human being with discipline, solidarity and courtesy. What I was surprised through his soccer session was that every kid in his class naturally greeted him and even me with high energy at the beginning of the session. That was kind of a sign to start the session. I loved the way!!
Also, he politely saw off every kid and their family at the way out. When a mom of a kid wants to talk to him at the end of the session, he deals kindly with her, no matter who is it. Impressive!!
Those kind of things should be the huge keys to get my own academy in Japan on the right track.

関西の有名クラブのコーチング視察はまだまだ続きました。続いて見学させていただいたのが京都、滋賀、兵庫などでサッカースクールを展開しているアミティエサッカークラブ。トップチームまであり、トップは現在関西リーグ１部に所属しながらJFL昇格を狙っています。スクールコーチの中でも随一と評判の鬼塚コーチのクラスを視察させていただき、そのパワーと熱さに驚かされました。どちらかというと、今までは日本のジュニア世代のトップに近い子達のクラスを見てきましたが、今回は私がこれまで海外で行っていたような、「楽しさ」をベースにサッカーがいかに楽しいスポーツなのかに徹したコーチングをされていたのが印象的でした。
私と子どもたちに対してのアプローチ、コーチ自身がいかに楽しみ、そして良い意味で「ばか」になれるか。それは子どもと同じ目線で楽しみという感覚に近いと思います。そして挨拶の徹底。子どもたち皆元気よく挨拶してグラウンドに入ってきますし、指導も厳しくするとき、楽しむ時とのメリハリがしっかりしていて、親御さんからも人気なのがよくわかります。
帰る時は最後の最後まで残り、一人一人帰る度に挨拶をし、車を見送る姿も印象的でした。
日本でスクールを成功させる為のヒントがたくさん鬼塚さんのクラスには詰まっていたような気がします。

it's been more than a month since I went out to see a training session of the Vissel Kobe super class for juniors. This class has a similar concept to the Cerezo Osaka elite class where I visited and blogged about it the other week.
All the players come to the trainings belong to another in their neighborhood. They have been scouted by Vissel Kobe at an annual try-out event held by Vissel. Most of them step up onto the next category called Vissel Kobe Junior youth when they graduate from elementary school in Japan.
And also I got inspired by their personality and their professional ways of coaching. Every coach had a different approach of coaching, but they all face the same direction as a J-league club.
Thank you so much for inviting and brainstorms that I got from them.
もう１か月くらい前になりますが、セレッソ大阪エリートクラスと同じようなクラスのヴィッセル神戸スーパークラスというのを視察、紹介していただきました。こちらも小学校高学年が対象で、ヴィッセル神戸ジュニアとは別に、他のチームに所属しながら、週に１回ヴィッセル神戸の選手としてスカウトされた選手たちが集まり、練習をしています。もちろん彼らもプロの卵として、中学入学時にはヴィッセル神戸ジュニアユースに上がる子がたくさんいます。レベルもセレッソ同様に高い。
写真はそのコーチ陣と練習後に撮って頂きました。
コーチ陣の素晴らしい人柄、特に視察中に色々と説明をして頂いた高木コーチにはお世話になりました。ありがとうございました。
そしてすべてがJリーグ経験者の中、それぞれのコーチングのアプローチの仕方から自分自身に反映できる部分、共通している部分などがたくさん見つかり、非常に実りのある時間でした。

On the next day from the day in the last entry, I got invited to a practice of the Vissel Kobe U13,12 and 11 sides and a practice of the AIS soccer academy coached by a former J-leaguer, Makoto Atsuta who used to play with Park Ji Sung at Kyoto Sanga in J-league before Park had made a contract with PSV in Holland.
This gentleman, Mr Atsuta suddely lost a place where his players could constantly use for practices as the fields got bankrupted. So he had to figure that out to keep the academy alive. To be surprised, he made a bold decision that built futsal fields in Kobe and manage it somehow by himself. He barely scraped up funds for getting it started and right now he runs it for real. He is amazingly energetic and has a powerful work ethic for what he is doing right now which is surely respectable for me.
And the other guy who I met on that day was a coach for the Vissel Kobe juniors. As a matter of course, they all are J-league players in the making as their top team is in J-league. It is noteworthy that the coach is in my generation and he has already built out a brilliant coaching career at some J-league clubs. I couldn't help but being inspired by him and learnt from his way of coaching.
I was glad to be invited to those fantastic and substatial sessions on the same day!!

続いて、紹介していただいたのが、Vissel Kobe U13,12,11（小４－６）のチーム練習と、元京都サンガの熱田さん（写真左）が指導するAISというジュニア、ジュニアユースの練習。
この熱田さんは子ども達の練習場に困っていた時に自分自身でフットサルコートを建ててしまったとんでもない人。その話を聞かせて頂いただけでもこれからの自分の力になりました。こんな熱い決断ができる勇気がある方はなかなかいませんよね。話していてもポジティブな思考しかなく、全く過去を振り返らずに今を熱く生きている方でした。やっぱりこういう人は内に秘めたパワーが違う。
そしてヴィッセル小６グループのコーチをしている白山さん（写真右）。年代は私とほぼ同じくらいで、JFLでプレーした後にジュニアの指導をヴィッセル神戸で積み重ねている方。この日本滞在中、色々な指導者の方と出会いましたが、同年代でここまで明るく、しかもエリート選手を指導するプレッシャーの中、経験値を積み上げている姿は非常に刺激になりました。
ご紹介していただいた白澤さんには感謝しかありません。

More than a month has elapsed since, I went out to watch a training session of the elite class(Basically they are equivalent to year 2 to 7 in the western countries) of Cerezo Osaka. As the name of the class says(elite class), they are rosy and prospective with talent as players.
And I learned numerous things from their way of coaching. Every coach at Cerezo Osaka has a professional experience when they were players. Generally, they become a coach after their professional career ends as a player. Of course, to become a great coach is not all about how good a player you were, but luckily, I had an opportunity to see the respectable coach(middle in the pic) who has been coaching for the elite class for few years.
And the field facility where they normally train was perfect!! Although it was artificial futsal fields, it has a roof on top for rainy days and three whole futsal field are available for their training every time with lights and being coached by a former J-leaguer!! What more can you ask for??
At the same time, I got to clarify the vision for my future academy where I could send my players out to those J-league organizations from my own academy every year.
もうすでに１か月以上前になりますが、ヴィッセル神戸ジュニアの統括をされていた白澤さん（写真右）に紹介して頂き、セレッソ大阪エリートクラス（小学校高学年）の練習視察をさせていただきました。コーチの新田さん（写真真ん中）は、白澤さんが話していたとおり、エリート選手を育てる上で色々と参考になる指導法として見させて頂きました。
指示の内容、声の抑揚、選手との距離感。
私自身は、どちらかというと、どのレベルの子どもたちでも受け入れるスタイルでスクールを行ってきたので、エリート選手だけを集めて行うレベルの高い練習の指導経験は乏しいので、今回の視察は貴重な経験になりました。
子ども達の質も高いですし、雨でも関係なくできる施設、コーチ陣は元Jリーガーで固められた布陣を見ると、良い選手が受けられる恩恵は計り知れないですね。私もこういった出会いの中で、こういった大きなクラブに選手を送り込めるようなスクールを運営していくためにも、コーチとしてのレベルアップをアイルランドで果たしていかなければいけません。

time always flies by so fast!! It's been two months since I came back to Japan in early November. Even though I told on this blog that I would frequently update entries on this blog, but as you know, I haven't done that at all. Lol Yeah, I am all talk and no action guy!! Sorry..
Anyway, I have been looking around soccer academies in Kansai area of Japan and market myself or get my name known in a way as I have no careers as a coach and player in Japan.
And luckily, one of my former teammates from my NZ days has started his own soccer academy in Osaka. And I got hold of him and got asked to come to his academy as a temporary coach. So I do coach kids at his academy once a week in Takaishi area of Osaka where about 50 kids in total between year 1 to 6 come and play every week.
Some kids belong to a soccer club in their neighborhood and come to the academy to supplement a technical phase, but some others just turn up for fun or their parents just send their kids to the academy. So each of them has a different purpose and drive towards soccer that make us more difficult to teach in the same group. But that would happen when I did it in Canada as well so that I could deal with this kind of situation more easily than no experiences. And it is also a fun part of coaching kids.

もう帰国して早いもの２か月ほど経ちました。残り半月ほどでアイルランドへまた１年間旅立つことになりますが、日本での活動を少しずつ報告していきます。
まずは、NZ時代のチームメートである元Jリーガーで海外でも数か国でプレー経験がある中橋絢也さんが展開しているサッカースクールにコーチとして招いて頂き、今は週１回、大阪府高石市の方でコーチングをさせていただいています。子どもたちも総勢５０人ほどで、活気のある練習で楽しみながらサッカーしているという印象ですね。選手によっては色々とモチベーションのバラつきもありますが、そこも指導者の対応で変わってくると思います。
こういうグラスルーツのサッカースクールは、J下部などとは環境が違うので、また違った意味で勉強になります。カナダで行っていた自分のスクールと似た部分も多いので、今までの経験をそのまま落とし込める部分と、日本では通用しない所も敏感に感じながら、毎回子どもたちと楽しくやらせて頂いています。

どうも。ご無沙汰していました。
今もちょっとバタバタしていて短いブログで報告だけさせてください。
今現在、南米旅行の真っ只中にいます。現在地はペルー。この後もう少し色々と回って帰ります。日本へ。もう実はバンクーバーを出国していて、日本への帰国の寄り道で南米に来ています。ずっと地球の反対側だと思っていましたが、今滞在していることに驚きです。またそのことは改めて書きます。

I would like to make a quick anouncement. Recently I have swamped with so many things and errands to do so that I couldn't update any entry on this blog. Sorry about that.
All of a sudden, I am now in Peru. Why? yes, that's because I wanted to look around the other end of the world someday. Then I have made it, and barely surviviing right now. haha Let me update on this crazy journey another time.
The real anouncement is that I am returning home on 27 or 28th of October, of course it is Japan, Osaka. After that, I will be leaving for Ireland for a year for my coaching career establishment for my future dream so that I will be able to be in Japan until early next year(till mid of Jan or so on..).

YES, I got a work permit for Canada the other day!!
It's been pretty much two months since I first applied for it. I was actually so sick and tired of checking out online about how the things were going every single night. It was like a depressing routine as I knew it'd be a time-cosuming process that averagely takes you two months or more until the final decision of your visa application is made. It was absolutely a downer past several weeks!!
On the other hand, I admit that I was too optimistic about it too. I though it'd never be longer than it really was, but it did, actually.. I might've had a wishful thinking that I'd be able to get a visa easily cuz I've got all the applications for a visa in various countries done with no troubles. Anyway, it's done, so what I need to do at this stage is to decide the date of departure which is in the final stage to fly over to Canada.
In my lifetime schedule, I'm suppose to stay there for a year to pave my own way to achieve something big!! This journey would be a very important step to reach my life-time goal. Can't waste even one day while in the country.
ようやく、カナダワーホリのビザ申請が通りました。申請開始から約２か月。色々な情報錯綜の中、なんとか自力で取得。
これまでAUS,NZと自分でワーホリ取得をしてきましたが、こんなに手間と時間がかかるのは初めて。ほんとにめんどくさいことが多いし、なにより思ってたよりほんとに時間がかかってしまった。まずは今年の申請開始期間が例年より遅かったこと、そして申請期間も数ヶ月かかるとは申請直前まで知らなかった。今まで色んな国でビザ申請をしてきて、すべて通ってきたので、ちょっと甘くみてました・・。それに過去に色々な国で長期滞在しているので、それもひっかかるのではという心配がずっとありました。現にそのような事例があったようなので。毎晩、毎晩、結果が来ているかどうかチェックする作業がしんどかったですが、運良くすべてがうまくいってくれました。あとは出発日を決め、最終準備をするのみですね。
予定では１，２週間後に１年間旅立ちます。しっかり目標に向けて毎日を過ごし、選手から指導者に向けて、独自の道で切り開いてきます。誰がなんと言おうと自分は自分。信じられるのも己自身。また海外の厳しい環境を常に選びながら、強く、逞しくなって帰ってきます。必ず成功するために。

My mate and me went out to Awaji island by bicycle to travel all the way around it over two days the other day. It was about a 250km trip to complete in the bad weather.
Awaji island（淡路島） is an island in Hyogo prefecture where is located at right next to Osaka prefecture. People usually visit there for spa. I'd never been there before, so I always wanted to go, and the crazy plan came up to mind as most of tourists head off by car!! Never come along by bike, though!!haha
But it was definitely an unfogettable experience and those memories remain in my heart for good.
先日、淡路島まで自転車の旅を決行！友人と２人で大阪の地元から明石までの５０キロと淡路島１周（ショートカットは若干アリ）の計約２５０キロの距離をクロスバイクで走破。１泊２日の地獄のような旅でしたが、終わってみればアッという間で楽しかった。素晴らしい経験、思い出ができ、やりきった満足感は半端なかったですね。

I could say it has nothing to have fun but nature, but you will be refined yourself by an abundance of nature. However, it made us go nuts while we were struggling to keep peddling on the extreme uphills. And I was also sick and tired of peddling in tailwind from the coast line.
But I should thank my frend who accompanied me for the kink. You're the best man, bro!
淡路島は今回初めて行きました。感想は何もない島といったところ。笑 けど自然に溢れ、住み易さは感じれたかな。山続きでありえない坂の連続に心折れていた友人H君。帰りの１００キロはほとんど向かい風でキレながら走っていたのは私です。笑 二人とも自然に怒り、無力を知った旅でした。しかし、こんな突飛なことに付き合ってくれた友人に感謝！ありがと！

I went bass fishing for the first time in about 15 years the other day!! I just tagged along with my friend who is really into it, and he asked me to come as I'd never done some fishing on the boat, always do from shore.
As you could see it in the photo above, the water was so clear and transparent that you can see fishes through. The lake is surrounded by woods, and I felt like being a sacred sanctuary with full of negative ions. I can say that the landscape from the boat was the best I've ever seen in Japan!!

この前、奈良の七色ダムというところで１０数年ぶりに本格バス釣りを決行！前日の夜中に現地着で車で寝てからの朝５時からボート釣りを初体験。なにより、景色がやばかったです。自然の中にあるダムは、マイナスイオン満載の綺麗な空気の中、水も透き通っていて、バスがルアーに食いついてくるのが見えるくらいでした。本当に壮大な景色に圧倒され、日本で見たどの景色よりも最高でした。下の写真のバックに写っているのがその景色。見えづらいですが、ダムはかなり広いので、この景色をボートで延々と爆走しながら釣れやすいポイントへ移動していきます。
Overall, I fished three small basses in the morning, but I couldn't get any after the sun rose. Because the climate and temperature of every hour change everything. So you have to find out the right way of fishing every hour or moment you fish. Experiences and much knowledge could divide you from others to fish.
But I am totally into it now!!
結局、釣果は自分が３匹と連れていってくれた先輩が１０匹以上釣ってました。さすがに疲れましたが、本当に楽しかった思い出に残る１日でした。今後もバス釣りにまたのめり込みそうですね。

I went to Nara the other day. It's been a long time since I visited the Nara park and Todaiji-temple last time. It was always good to be there.
Okay, let me explain about those two notable sites for any tourists first. Todaiji ("Great Eastern Temple") is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples and a landmark of Nara prefecture. The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddist temples of Japan.
Todaiji's main hall, the Daibutsuden (Big Buddha Hall) is the world's largest wooden building, despite the fact that the present reconstruction of 1692 is only two thirds of the original temple hall's size. The massive building houses one of Japan's largest bronze statues of Buddha(Daibutsu). The 15 meters tall, seated Buddha represents Vairocana and is flanked by two Bodhisattvas.
And Nara Park is a large park in central Nara. Established in 1880
The park is home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. Considered in Shinto to be messengers of the gods, Nara's nearly 1200 deers have become a symbol of the city and have even been designated as a natural treasure. Nara's deer are surprisingly tame, although they can be aggressive if they think you will feed them. Deer crackers are for sale around the park, and some deer have learned to bow to visitors to ask to be fed.

といっても奈良駅周辺の観光名所しか回っていませんが。笑 たまにくるとやっぱりいいもんですね。
In particular, The big Buddha which is a national treasure was a majestic!!
I actually wanted to visit the other famous temple called Houryu-ji temple, but it was a bit remote from the center of Nara and knew that the entrance fees have been amazingly raised recently. To be honest, I couldn't afford it!!Lol
東大寺の大仏はやっぱり圧巻でした。法隆寺にも行きたかったですが、距離的に面倒だったのと、拝観料が値上がりしてバカ高い（１５００円！）のを知り止めました。
鹿と戯れるのは、前回の宮島でもう満喫したのでほぼ触れず。
セント君も相変わらず憎めないキャラでした。
段々と旅ブログ化してますね。サッカーはここ最近２か月ほどボール蹴ってませんでしたが、今日ひさびさにフットサルで復帰。ここからやる気が出てきてくれれば嬉しいですが・・・。
P.S. I kicked a ball around with some friends in ages. I actually played futsal after the two months break. I was really wondering whether I still remembered how to kick a ball, but I did. haha
Hopefully this is going to be a huge boost to my morale for football.

I visited Hiroshima after Kyoto.
京都の次は広島へ。
I've been to Kyoto many times before, but it was my first time to be in Hiroshima this time. I loved the great atmosphere of the Hiroshima city as well as Kyoto. The center of the Hiroshima city was not that sizable to look around and very clean. And what made me feel familiar with being Hiroshima was a large number of foreign visitors.
何度も訪れた京都とはまた違った雰囲気の場所。外国人も京都並みにいて、街自体が綺麗でサイズも人もごちゃごちゃしている感じはなく、住んでみたいとも思いましたね。やっぱり外国人が多い地域の方がテンション上がるし、妙に居心地がいい。
There were a lot of places to get around the town of Hiroshima such as Hiroshima castle(above), A-dome, Museum of the warfare, peach memorial park and Miyajima(island) where is registered as a world heritage site.
広島城や護国神社、原爆ドームに資料館、平和公園と市内は回るところがたくさんあります。資料館で原爆の歴史に触れ、その生の映像や当時の物を目の辺りにして目頭が熱くなりました。ここは行って本当によかったと思う。
What I was most surprised when I was in the town was that there were more huge number of Aussie tourists rather than Americans. As you know, Hiroshima is the first city to be detonated an atomic bomb by US in WWⅡ.. When I visited the museum and see various debris and remembraces of the day, tears naturally welled up in my eyes..
宮島も行きました。厳島神社に有名な揚げもみじや牡蠣などを食べ歩いて楽しかったです。島では鹿が襲ってきますが・・・。笑 あと、広島焼きは最高にうまかった。お好み焼きより自分は広島焼きの方が断然うまかったなぁ・・。
But all in all, I really enjoyed during the trip including the Miyajima island where is known for oysters and some other tasty foods!!
