AC Milan vs AEK Athens in European league at San Siro.

Hi, guys.

Watched the match in the European league, AC Milan against AEK Athens from Greek. The game itself was 0-0, but the vibe of the stadium especially during the match was special. To be honest. I didn't care about who were on the field as it is not my club to follow.. but the number 8 of Milan obviously stood out in the match, so I checked out who it was later and it was Suso from Spain. His vision, agility and technique on the ball were in a different class. When he possessed the ball, he was always looking for a way that causes the opposition a trouble by shooting on target of passing the into the channel.
　
Also got to meet an Italian football agent who has been involved in the transfer of a Japanese interational, Yuya Kubo, and what he requires of youngsters is 'intensity' in football. What does the word mean in the football world? In his opinion, Japanese are too clean and reserved on the field. They have to be more greedy and hungry for assists and goals, not only making a lateral pass not to lose the ball in any situation of the match otherwise you can NEVER survive in the intense European fooball. Those words from him will be a good guidepost for young players.

  ACミランの試合観戦。ヨーロッパリーグで相手はギリシャのAEKアテネ。試合自体は０－０でしたが、生のサンシーロは格別でした。誰が誰だかわからず見てましたが、ミランの８番が別格の輝きを放ってたので後でメンバー表を確認すると、スペイン人のスソ。左利きのどっしりした下半身と周りとはレベルが一つ上の敏捷性。彼がボールを持ったら「取られないだろうな」と思う位置に常にボールを置き、シュートやスルーパスのようなゲームを決める仕事を常に狙っていた。
　
　今回イタリアに行って日本代表久保裕也選手の移籍に携わっているイタリア人の代理人とも会うことができ、彼もしきりに話していたインテンシティという言葉。意味は強度や激しさを指しますが、ここで彼が言っていたのは１対１での激しさ、球際の事。日本人は安パイな横パスが多すぎて、ボールを失わないことを考えすぎていると。もっと貪欲に仕掛け、対人に勝ち続ける事。仕掛け続けるワンパターンから布石を打つ横パスは良い、ただ最後は自分が決めるという気持ち、そして結果が伴う実力がないと欧州では生き残れないのかなと。まだまだ学ぶ事は多いです。

Be brave and be challenging!!

 

Hi guys.

It was a good coaching education program for the safeguarding 1. 
The thing is, it wouldn't be comfortable when you are in an environment where you're surrounded by other nationalities or races without your first language, but there's a plenty of things perceive and gain out of it rather than being in your comfortable zone.

Be brave to step out of it and be challenging to anything, in particular when you are in 20's!!

　写真はこの前のコーチング講義にて。いつも言ってますが、アジア人紅一点の環境が私自身を強くしてくれる。日本人だけの環境は居心地が確かにいいかもしれない。ただ、他の人種に囲まれる事によって感じる事、成長できる事もまたあるはず。20代はできるだけ皆さんにも飛び出してチャレンジしてほしいです。絶対にそこから生まれる自信や得たモノが、未来の財産になる。

Safeguarding 1

Hi, guys.

Finally, I made the first step for the UEFA coaching badges yesterday by acquiring a certificate for Safeguarding 1 where is the gateway for any applicants to get coaching badges in FAI. There are two requirements before starting off your first coaching course that should be Kickstart 1. One is the workshop that I took for the Safeguarding 1, and the other is to apply for a Garda Vetting to FAI. I think you need to belong to a local club who you coach for before you start off with your Garda Vetting application because you need a reference from an authorised person within FAI members when you apply for it. 

Anyway, it takes a while to get started.. There are few troublesome steps that you need to get over in terms of child protection.

As for the workshop, it was 3 hours session in a classroom with full of group discussions. It wasn't only about being a coach, but also how you should be as a roll model for kids as a human being. There were over 30 participants and broken into 4, 5 groups during the session with various topics and case studies to discuss about.

For example, one of the kids on your team looks unusual and over the past weeks, his appearance has worsened. The other children are making comments about him, and you think he might be losing weight as well. What might you do in relation to this situation? What would make it easier to deal with this situation? etc...  

Bullying and child abuse could be an issue on your team that you need to deal with. I think this kind of workshop should be a requirement for any coaches of underage groups.

I myself had been skeptical about the definition of coaching badges before took this course yesterday, because I didn't believe that higher ranked coaching badges did label you as a good coach. However, taking workshops and courses get you more knowledgeable enough in every respect in relation to coaching. This is a fact well known to public.

To me, it was actually a fruitful time because it created a certain time frame where I lived and breathed football　by external stimulus. It also had me an opportunity to see football from a different angle. I sometimes need this must-do-environment... 

I will keep updating on the next course for Kick start 1 as well.

 

　ようやく、アイルランドでのコーチングライセンスの第一歩を踏み出せました。その証拠として、まずはSafeguarding 1という最初の講義に参加し、受講修了の賞状を昨日頂きました。まずはこの講義を３時間と、今申請中のGarda vettingという無犯罪証明書をFAIから発行してもらうのが無事完了すれば、アイルランドのコーチングコースを受けることができます。

　内容としては、コーチングの内容というよりは、コーチになるに当たっての基本的な事。主に人間性の部分でコーチとして子ども達にとってどうあるべきか、というのが主な内容。受講の形式は、主にグループワークで複数のグループをいくつも作って、それぞれに違ったトピックが割り振られ、そこから授業が展開されていくという形式。

　自分の意見を話す場面が出てくるので、英語でしっかり話せないとすぐに置いていかれます。アイルランドでは児童教育に際しての安全強化が著しく、性犯罪も少なからず発生しているので、こういった講義も重要な位置づけなのだと思います。

　私自身、サッカーコーチになるに際し、ライセンスが必要かどうか懐疑的な所がありました。どれだけ良い資格を持っていても、それが単純にその人の評価に繋がるのか判断しづらいからです。ですが、少なからず講義を受けることで、サッカーの事を真剣に考える時間を外的にですが作ることができる。なかなかサッカーの事を家にいて勉強しようと思ってもなかなかできるものではないので、私自身こういう講義から英語とサッカーの両面で「やらないといけない環境」を作り出すことができるという意味では非常に有益なのかなと。あとは同じ志をもった仲間に出会えるというのも大きいと思います。

　アイルランドで、サッカー選手としてプロを目指しながら、同時にコーチングライセンス取得も目指すような新しい形の留学形式も選手にとって良い選択肢になってくるでしょう。英語とサッカーに加えてUEFAコーチングライセンスも取れれば、引退後の選択肢も増えるのではないかなと。
