選手インタビュー１‐ 桑畠健選手 Player's interview - Ken Kuwahata

　選手インタビューという初めての試みです。

The first ever attempt for me to interview a player who I looked after overseas.

　第一弾は、アイルランド３部リーグのDrumcondra FCというチームとサインしプレーした桑畠選手にアイルランド留学について振り返ってもらいました。

The first player is Ken Kuwahata, who signed with Drumcondra FC in the Sunday senior league(3rd tier of Irish football leagues). And I interviewed him to get some positive feedbacks from his study-abroad experiences in Ireland.

Q1：海外留学をしたきっかけは？

Why brought you to Dublin in the first place?

A：自分の学科は留学をしなければなりませんでした。要は必修です。そして数ある国の中からアイルランドを選びました。

Because studying abroad is a must-do program for any students in the department I've been studying in at the Uni in Japan.

Q2：アイルランドでの生活は？　

How was the life in Ireland?

A：バーなどに行ってもお酒が高いので規則正しい生活をしていました。

It was expensive everywhere in Dublin, especially drinks in any bars and pubs.. that made me be a good student there to the end.  

Q3：アイルランドサッカーの感想は？

What was the Irish football like compared to Japanese football?

A：フィジカルはかなり違うかなと思います。ただ審判のレベルが低いですね。

Physically, it was shocking at first. And the quality of the refereeing in the league was stressful.. 

Q4：今後は？

What are you gonna do after going back to Japan?

とりあえず大学に復学して卒業まで部活を頑張っていきたいです。

I need to return to schlool at first, and of course keep playing football for my Uni in Japan as well. 

　彼は大学のプログラムで来たので、周りに日本人の学生が多かったようです。人づてに私の所へサッカーチームの紹介依頼があり、すぐに3部チームへの加入が決まりました。帰るときに、「アイルランドでサッカーをしていなかったら本当につまらない留学生活になるところだった。本当にありがとうございました。」と言われた時は私も本当に嬉しかったです。留学後も選手とは今後もずっと色んな形で繋がっていけたらと思っています。

He was a very unfurtunate student when I met him for the first time because he came with the study-abroad program where many other Japanese students were with too. So he had been alway surrounded Japanese student even in the classrooms of the language school even though he came to study. 

And one day, one of my mates introduced me to him and I linked him up with Drumcondra FC for a trial. He immediately got an offer from them to sign. 

What made me moved that he told me that if he hadn't met me to play there, his whole 6 months in Dublin would've been the worst 6 months of his life, but thanks to the club, he had a complete 180, and had a lot of fun.

Thanks a lot, Ken, but You deserved it!!

Joyous Soccer Academy in Vancouver, Canada

カナダで大変お世話になったJECという日本語学校の校長先生もされている方が日本に帰国中という事でお会いさせて頂きました。

いつも活力に満ち溢れ数少ない尊敬できる方。バンクーバーでもJoyous FCというサッカーアカデミーを立ち上げ、留学事業なども含め教育に関わる全面的な活動をカナダでされています。

将来的なアカデミーの連係をカナダと日本で実現させられれば子ども達にとっても素晴らしい経験になるだろうし、まずその為には日本で自分自身がしっかりとアカデミー立ち上げを形にしないといけない。地道に、着実に。

It was a good to catch up with the guy in the photo who helped me a lot while in Vancouver in 2015 - 2016.

He is the principal of the JEC(Japanese school) in Vancouver, and have set up his own soccer academy since many years ago where there're many prospective kids playing. He is also working on some other projects in education to give the kids more options for the future.

We have discussed exchanging programs through soccer or any other ways between Japan and Canada in the future. To make our imaginations happen for real, I must make my academy in Japan take shape in reality little by little!

Time flies by as fast as ever.. just got back to Osaka, Japan after spending a year in Dublin, Ireland and a 2 month hectic fun journey in Germany, Morocco, Spain, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, UAE, Sri lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia(The photos are set in chronological order).

Let me skip all the details of my life overseas in the last 10 years as it will be a tedious story.. Anyway, I feel like I am totally a freshman in the Japanese society, actually that's true.

At the moment, I'm hell-bent on setting up my own football/soccer academy in Osaka, Japan. I have no clue where the next journey will take me to.. , but no regrets on every decision I made in the past 10 years and next 10 years too. Will definitely visit you guys again in the future, and let me know when you visit Japan.

始動！ In OSAKA, JAPAN

Hi, guys.

A fun session at Ruis soccer academy in Australia led by a good mate of mine, Ruis from Costa Rica. We have discussed exchanging programs between my academy in Japan and his and international tournaments inviting each other in the near future. 

Thanks to the days as a coach and player in the last 10 years overseas, Ive made heaps of fantastic mates involved in soccer/football all over the world. And a lots of ideas have come up and it becomes bigger and bigger to make it come true.

AAMO, it would put the cart before the horse if I mess up the beginning phase of my own soccer academy here. There's no need to hurry at this stage. I know the first step is always the hardest where everyone struggles to get out. This is a time to stay patient and keep failing to learn from them. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!!

長らく更新していませんでしたが、日本に先日帰国し、大阪で本腰を入れ活動していきます。

まずは、オーストラリアにあるRuis Academyの様子（動画は私のインスタグラムに載せています→　https://www.instagram.com/taikimatsumura/）。彼らとはパートナー提携して将来的な選手交流、合宿や国際大会を考えています。私も日本に数日前に帰国し、これから関西で幼児、小学生対象のサッカースクール(Brissy FC)立ち上げの為始動します。

有難い事に沢山の友人が世界各地にいて、今回のRuis Academyの様に選手達の国際交流の話を頂いています。ただ、まず私が日本でチーム立ち上げに失敗したら始まらないので、何としてでも世界に発信できるサッカーチームを作っていきたいと思います。
