メガネのような対になった部材の詳細な説明の翻訳で、説明している部材の訳語はそれぞれ必ず複数型にする必要があるのだろうか？

実施例では同一の寸法の部材が左右対称に配置されており、各部材がそれぞれ１つの構成要素を有している。その構成要素の訳語は単数でもいいのだろうか？

例えば、メガネの左右それぞれのレンズ内に部品100が埋め込まれている。メガネ全体では部品100は２つある。部品100に焦点を当てて説明している場面で、部品100の訳語は単数形でもいいのだろうか？

特に部品100の説明で参照する図に該部品100が一個だけ示されている場合。

複数の名詞に対する修飾語の係り

発明のタイトル等で多い、「安定性を向上させる車両制御装置、車両制御方法、および車両制御システム」のようなパターン。

この例の場合、「安定性を向上させる」は多分、装置、方法、システムのすべてに係っているのだろうと想像できる。

比較級-erと来たが、thanではなくcompared toで繋いでいる。

フ～ム、それもアリか・・・。

材料Aと比べて、材料Bは寸法のばらつきが少ない。
1) Material B has small size variation compared to material A.
2) Material B has smaller size variation compared to material A.

材料Aより、材料Bは寸法のばらつきが少ない。
3) Material B has smaller size variation than material A.

文法的には1), 3)が正しいんだろうと思います。

～よりも相対的に少ない。
4) ...is relatively smaller than...

～よりも比較的少ない。
5) ...is comparatively smaller than ...

「より」と「相対的」または「比較的」が混在して冗長な気がする・・・。

などと訳せばいいんでしょうか？それとも原文の冗長さをそのまま残せばいいんでしょうか？
