第134回新見英語サロン開催報告

７月26日(火)、第134回新見英語サロンを開催し、常連メンバーの中村行雄さんが、6月から約１ヶ月間滞在されたフィリピンについて報告をしてくださいました。


フィリピンについては、以前、プライベートブログで報告したように(→第84回新見英語サロンに多数のご来場ありがとうございました)、2010年3月16日の第84回新見英語サロンでDave Collymoreさんも報告してくれています。

私自身、フィリピンには行ったことがありませんので、とても新鮮に話を聞くことができました。

撮影されたたくさんの写真を見せていただきながら、英語学習のこと、島巡りのことなどいろいろとお話を聞かせていただきました。


また、お土産も買ってきていただき、みんなでいただきながらお話を聞きました。
マンゴーのお菓子、とても美味しかったです。


そして、獣医師でもある中村さんから、フィリピンで購入された日英医学辞典のご紹介がありました。

これは、フィリピンで出版されているようで初めて見る辞典でした。

Niimi English Salon #134

We had the 134th Niimi English Salon session on July 26th.

One of our regular members, Yukio Nakamura spoke about his recent one-month stay in the Philippines.


I　have never been to the Philippines myself, but his talk has made me interested in visiting there.

He studied English in a language school in Cebu and visited some beaches and islands.

The beaches and islands in his pictures are very beautiful.

Mr. Nakamura shared some mango snack with us, which was very tasty.


Nakamura-san, who is a veterinarian also introduced a medical-nursing English-Japanese dictionary that he bought in the Philippines.


We had a very good time. Thank you, Nakamura-san, for an interesting presentation.
