シンガポールより From Singapore

先日、シンガポールから3人組の女の子たちが来てくれました。


彼女たち、30歳前後。とってもチャーミング。

すごく楽しんでくれたみたいです。

実は四元、小学生の時シンガポールに住んでいたので、
彼女たちに30年前住んでいたんだよ～と伝えたら
彼女たちビックリしたはけれども、
それより私が住んでいたころには彼女たち産まれてなかった～！
もしくは1歳～！という事に、私がびっくり（笑）

え～？！いつの間にかそんなに月日がたってる？？

そういえば、大きな観覧車はなかったし、セントサ島にもUSJは無かったなぁ（笑）
チャンギーエアポートをNEWエアポートと呼んでいました。
（ 行ったときはまだ建設中だったのです ）

海外や日本の話ができると楽しいな。
遠くから来て下さる方も、お近くの方もお待ちしております。

直島 NAOSIMA

直島のお話。
最近、海外からのお客様にこの後どこに行くの？と尋ねたら
『 なおしま 』と答えられる。

HOTなスポットになっているようです。
私も10年ぐらい前に訪れたのでどうHOTなのか分かっていないのですが・・。


香川県からフェリーに乗って島へと渡ります。
旅気分が一層盛り上がります。


昔からのたたずまいがたくさん残っている家並み。
その家を改装して、ミュージアムになっているのが面白いです。

ベネッセという会社が立てた美術館や、モンゴルのゲルに泊まれたり、
森の中にジャグジーがあったりと楽しい島だったと記憶しております。

（ これはモンゴルに立ってるゲルです ）

いま、瀬戸内トリエンナーレ が開催されているようでますます熱い。

宇治の朝日焼を訪れてから、ぐんと足を延ばして瀬戸内の直島へ。

1日体験のお話。
少々前の話ですが・・。半袖だし！

3人組様がいらしてくださいました。

NYと・・後は忘れちゃいました（笑）違う州から合流したお友達でした。
楽しんでたくれたかな？
確か5日ぐらいの日程で、明日は 直島（なおしま）へ行くとおっしゃっていました。

直島、今海外の方々にHOTな場所のようです。
ん？どんな島かって？

私も行ったの10年ぐらい前だしな～（笑）
また調べてお伝えしますね。

窯焚き Fired kiln

昨日は夜中1時頃終了したようです。
昨日の煙突の様子。

ん？見えない？

もくもくと黒煙が出ております。
このとき、窯内の空気を少なくして焚く『 還元焼成 』中。


大火前　1250度くらいかな？

温度が高くなると発光するのでまぶしいです。


ここは800度くらいかな。まだまだ中が窺えます。
三角に見えているのが、
窯内の熱量を知らせてくれるゼーゲルコーンという温度計。
7番1230度で溶ける。8番は1250度と決まっているので、
溶けて前かがみになりだしたら、これぐらいの温度だと予測ができるのです。

温度計はその瞬間だけを計りますが、
ゼーゲルコーンは、熱量を計るのでなくてはならない存在。

さぁ、明日は窯出し。
今から少しづつ扉を開けて冷ましていきます。

良い窯だといいなぁ～。
