Tributes have been paid to an Indian man aged in his 20s who, according to witnesses, was trying to take a selfie when he tragically lost his footing at fell to his death at the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare yesterday afternoon.
The man’s body was recovered shortly afterwards and taken to the Coast Guard Station in nearby Doolin, where the man was formally pronounced dead.
Gardai are treating the fall as a tragic accident. There are a number of places at the Cliffs of Moher site where people can hop fences and walls and gain access to the cliffs themselves – but multiple signs, warnings are barriers have been erected at the famous tourist in an effort to stop people getting too close to the edge.
