「埋められた巨人」The buried Giantがこの方の最初作で読みたいと思ったのですが図書館のリクエストがすごい数で。「日の名残り」は映画で観ていて話の内容は知っている…本は読んだことないのでどうしよう？ 翻訳モノか原書に挑戦？ とチョット考えてこちらの本ならすぐに借りられるよーなのでこの本にしました。このお話も映画化されているのですが観てなかったので、詳しい内容は知らなかったですが、しかし…。読み終わってカズオ・イシグロさんはなんて繊細な方なんだ、と思いました。小説を読んでいる間だけ行ける…何処かにある別の世界。読み終わった後の余韻。ビバ、小説！
His latest novel is "The Buried Giant", I wanted to read it but it's got many requests at the library, I gave up. I thought that I could try "The remains of the Day", I saw the film so I knew the story. Can I read the original written in English? I decided to read "Never Let Me Go", finally. This story was also made into a film, I haven't seen it, I just knew a little. After reading it, I was surprised, Kazuo • Ishiguro must be sensitive! During reading the book, we could go into the other world. After finishing it, there would some remains of the story. VIVA, novel!
