とっくに枯れて立ち枯れて、たのを引き抜いて見たら、根っこはこんな感じであった。
This plant has been dead, I pulled it out from the soil, its root was like that photo.

ほぼ半年ぶりくらいに、行きがけの駄賃風にお堀に寄ってみた。あの去年の苛烈な酷暑を無事に乗り越えたらしく、白鳥がちゃんといた。遠かったけれど、確認できた。
I haven't been to the side of the moat around for 6 months, I went to there recently. There was the swan that had survived from the crazy HOT summer in 2023, I was so HAPPY to see the swan!!

この植物と同じ種類と思われる植物がもう一つ育っていたのだけど、夏過ぎごろに力尽きていたようで、今はこの一つのみとなっている…。
There was the same plant as this one in the picture in the garden, but around pasting last summer, the same plant was ... dying... Only the one is surviving...
