今年は何故か羽化の様子を目撃出来ないでいます。見つけるのはぬけがらばかり。でもそのぬけがらにも色々あるよーで、蝉の種類が違えばぬけがらの形状も違うのはまあそーだろーと思うのですが、上の写真の最後の白っぽくて小さめのものは何の蝉のぬけがらでしょうか？ 初めて見ました。驚きマンモス！ しかしいつでも感心してしまいます。蝉のぬけがらをとある葉っぱの先で見つけてから一週間以上もそのぬけがらが同じ場所にあったりするのを見続ける…というのを時々経験します。このごく小さな鉤爪の先でずっと掴まっていられる…。雨が降っても風が吹いても。そりゃあ羽化をしている最中に落ちちゃったら…終わりですよね。その生命の最大の難関の時を支える鉤爪がチャチかったら人生も安っぽくなってしまう。この小さな小さな鉤爪の先にぎゅっと詰まっている集中力を思うといつもいつも感心してしまうのです。
I haven't seen any emerging so far in this summer. I can find only cicada shells. The shapes of the shells are various. Because they must be different by their kinds. The fourth photo, there is a small white shell, what kind of cicada is it? I've never seen like that before. It's surprising! I'm always impressed with their shells. When I find a shell on the branch, I could see it over one week at the same position. The shell has tiny claws, they can keep holding the branch for a while. Even raining or blowing, never fall down. If it was easy to fall, they would be dead. Their claws are very important for their lives, when emerging from pupas, so that it must be strong. I imagine that how marvellous functions claws have!! Wonderful!
