If people face difficult to continue studying it would help them finding new point of view. People read a journal about what they are studying usually, so some subscribers can be a writer of article. Journal publishers gather dissertations from specialists and check the contents, then curry it in. The journal supports people researching or studying on a specific subject.

Newspapers are for people who want to know daily happening in their community. Basically, it is a daily publication to catch up with everyday episodes. It reports about from disasters to political and economic accidents that affect daily life. When earthquake occur at a place where their friends live, it could bring fast and accurate report to people, so they can support friends. Sometime, newspapers pick up readers’ opinions, so if a parliament establishes a new low those would offer usual people a place to discuss. Moreover, when it reported an incident of other people, it also tells readers how to deal with it. Newspapers support people in daily life.
Periodicals are regularly organized with latest information, however, each has their own characters depending on their purpose. Magazines would make people’s lives happier and journals would support students to share discovery. Also, newspapers would support the subscribers’ daily life. Anyone can start reading all of those, but they do not have enough time to read though all. the moment I can't forget

It was the 23rd of July 2004. It was good weather, and the sun was shining on me from the right side. I was on a rock wall for a climbing competition held in Nigata. I was in a hurry because we compete for speeds and peaks. I needed to climb faster and higher. Two competitors came from each of the 5 prefectures, Nigata, Nagano, Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui. I was a representative of Fukui with my friend. We had passed the local competition, and practiced everyday. I was trying my best on the wall. It was the moment I have not been able to forget.

Four weeks before the competition, we had a local climbing competition for high school students in Fukui. Then, three of us won tickets to participate in special practice courses for the next competition. In the practice, we could use a public climbing wall for free, and each of us had a special trainer who taught us better climbing skills and safety support. All of them had won a national competition at least once already. After two weeks of trials, I survived and became one of our representatives, and we went to the real competition wall to have a look. At the time, we could not climb up well but I felt it was possible to reach the top. We still had two more weeks to learn, so expected that we would eventually be able to climb up well and much faster.

On the day, I woke up early at a hotel in Nigata, and went to the competition place in advance. Last night it had rained, so the ground was a little wet. The climbing wall was about 15m high, standing in front of me, but I could not see an actual climbing course setting. The wall was covered by blue sheets, so climbers could not discuss how to climb up with their teammates before they start. It could be better to check each climber’s skills. We moved into a lodge next to the wall, and the blue sheet was removed. Because our turns were in towards the end, we could hear the cheering of audiences and count how long first competitors took to finish. We guessed no one would reach the top or ended after 10minutes time, while we were having drinks and snacks provided by organizers.

Before I went out of the lodge I had a safety gear check. It did not have any problems. I was wearing a black shirt and white pants. By signal, I went to the wall with my belayer. My 10minutes had started. I started climbing with my right hand, and left leg, and right leg and clipped the first nunchaku with my left hand. I was thinking that I could get to the top, and according to the audience, my pace of climbing was much faster than before. When I passed the fourth nunchaku, I faced a problem. My left hand was holding a stone near my chest, and my right leg was in a small hole. My left leg was far below my waist. I wanted to catch the next hole with my right hand, but firstly I could not find a stable place for my right leg and secondly my left hand was too far below. I had to take a step before. When the time limit was almost over, I was seeking a place for my left hand or right leg.

Finally, I faced a lack of time and power. After my belayer let me off I could see people were disappointed for me and the other happy competitors. Actually, there was a stone for my left leg that I did not notice, so other climbers could pass the point. I still remember the shape of the stone, which had a ring and a cavity that I was looking at but could not touch.

After you get detail of the share, you need to look at four kinds of indicators. First part of that could be ROE: return on asset and ROE: return on equity. Both are about efficiency and strategy of the company. ROE means how much profit they made with their asset and how efficiently board of the company managed, so it should be higher than interest rate that you can earn from banks. If it was less than interest rate, they should sell their entire asset and deposit money into a bank to earn more. Nevertheless, some companies, which marked negative returns, are bargain, if those have just started their jobs. That is because every company started their business with negative return usually, some companies would start earning huge profit after that.
ROE means how much profit they make against tangible net worth or ownership capital, but it does not have any best value. You need to compare it with ROA. Ratios of ROE to ROA show you that balance of shareholders’ equity and liability. When ROA is five times bigger than ROE, that means four fifth of their asset is from liabilities. This ratio depends on strategy of the board, so nothing is better or worse. However, companies, which have high divide, would show faster development, and companies, which have low divide, would show stable development. You should look at those two indicators and find a company, which you can understand, their strategy and feel comfortable.
Second parts of four indicators are PBR: price book-value ratio and PER: price earnings ratio. Those show you value of share-price, how expensive or reasonable it is against their real prices. PBR means how the share price is against their asset exclude liabilities. If PBR is 2, that means share price is twice bigger than its net asset value. So, it is more than 1 usually at every company, and if you find a company, which PBR is about 1, its share price is almost the lower limit. On the other hand, PER means how expensive share price is against their profit. That also means how much profit the company would make from your funds. Basically, you should compare it with other indicators. At least, when it is less than interest rates of banks, you can earn more profit from depositing than the profit that company would make from your funds and divide to shareholders. However, the best value of PER totally depends on tax system and accounting rule of the industry, so there is no common rate in the world. You should look at other corporations’ PER at the same industry in the same country as well, to figure out that how reasonable the company stock price is.

Finally, once you find a company suitable for you, concentrate your fund on it. This is to maximize benefit from stocks and save fee that you need to pay for stockbrokers. In short term, like one week or one month, no one can predict price of any stocks because it is very flexible, but in long term, stock price are going to be in economic theory. That means it is going up faster than inflation rate or bank deposit. You had better hold the stock at least three years, moreover you should keep it more than twenty years instead of deposit money into saving accounts.

the climbers' high

For climbers, ‘challenge’ is a purpose of their lives. Everyone wants to tackle something new, and grab fame of ‘the venture’. Since the first climber was born, many people have built records of spectacular adventures, and a virginal place has become smaller so the climbers have to risk more dangers. Now there is controversy as to whether people go to those virginal parts because they like risks, or people like virginal places so they can take risks.

There was a climbing group trying out Mount Cook. That was a well-organized party with many experienced climbers.
One night, they had a meeting to talk about route selecting on Mt. Cook, and a captain suggested a route D, which was situated only the map and no one had succeeded yet. A success on the route D would give them a prize for the best climbers. However, a climbers’ goal is to reach the top somehow. The method is not the most important problem as long as they can get to the top, and if they could not, they would have nothing but disappointment. An experienced climber opposed him to change the plan to route A, which everyone knew well. They would not get respect but they would still be able to achieve the top, and they could try another course after they had prepared well. Thus, the route D was the delight of the captain, who also had much experience and had spent a long time on groundwork. They started arguing with each other. Both opinions were very logical and significant estimations. So, even when another person came in to block the conflict, the majority of them could not decide. Finally, the oppositions left the meeting room and the captain’s group stayed there. After he asked everybody who dislikes his plan to leave the room, he started talking about his roadmap. He reorganized his party and took them to Mt. Cook. A group, who left there, could not find a way to arrange another party to climb route A, so they stayed at their houses.

They were relaxing at their houses and watching television. On a timely news programme, a newscaster started talking about an accident on Mt. Cook. Some climbers had not come back to a their base on the proposed day. It was obviously about their ex-members. As they had warned, those members failed passing route D and got nothing. They expected others to apologize for their arguments and felt confident about themselves. Their predictions were right and the others had to consider the importance of these. However at the next moment, the caster mentioned a casualty of the disaster, which meant they could not see all of their friends anymore.

This story shows the importance of not doing wrong things and forcing other people to do it as well. It is significant that people should not do wrong things, but people cannot force others to anything especially when it is not completely wrong. However, they might have to take a step forward to prevent heartbreaking results.
First, they could have stayed in the meeting room longer to try and persuade more members not to go. At least, they could have provided more information for each other. Even if they might not have been able to stop the decision at all, members could have been able to have knowledge to make the decision that they are responsible for. Moreover, they knew the route D, and how dangerous it was. Even if they had gone together they may not have been able to pass through, but they could have supported each other in returning safely. If this was the case, they would understand their mistakes and others would not have had to regret that they could not stop them.

Rashyomon

The main characters are six people: a bandit, a couple of travelers, a farmer, a vagabond and a bonze. The setting was during the 9th century, during a civil war in Japan. The movie develops with that the vagabond and the bonze talking about a fact as four different stories. The fact is that a bandit attacked a couple of travelers and raped a woman and also about the death of a man. A farmer was watching the whole act from a bush. However, they all told it differently. In the movie, a vagabond represents the egotism of humans, and a bonze represents the honor of humans. Along the movie the vagabond does not believe any of their talk, but the bonze tries to trust all of them and fall into confusion.

First, the bandit talked about it at a court after he had been arrested. He said he stood in front of a man, fought fairly and killed the man. So, he could be a strong man who did not have to trap them. Next, the woman talked about it after a temple had given her sanctuary. She said after she was raped she asked her husband who was still alive to kill her but he did not. She did not know anything about the death of her husband, so she was just trying to commit suicide. So, she seemed a poor powerless woman. Then, the man talked through the mouth of a maiden. He said after his wife figured out the bandit was richer than him she tried to kill him to follow the bandit. Although he might be killed by the bandit but he was not. He committed suicide because of the sadness of being betrayed by his wife. So, he was not a weak man who could not win a battle against the bandit nor protect his wife.

Finally, the farmer started talking about what he saw. The bandit trapped the man by telling him that he had found a treasure and raped the woman who had been left behind alone. After that, the woman was angry and she instigated the idea that both men should kill each other, and then escaped. Neither of the men wanted to be killed and they wanted to escape. Nevertheless because of the woman, both men were thinking that they would be killed without killing the other. They fought just awkwardly for themselves, not for the woman. However, the farmer has stolen belongings of the dead man after he died somehow. If the man was selfish, people may consider his selfish crime less serious.


After they had listened to all those stories, the vagabond felt free being selfish. He had never cared about the truth. He just said that the egotism is the nature of humans. On the other hand, the bonze was confused listening to lies. The bandit did not have to tell a lie, because he would be executed for his other crime anyway. Then, the woman did not have to tell a lie, because a temple was protecting her anyway. In addition, the man did not have to lie, because he was dead already. Also, the farmer did not have to lie, because they were not listening to the story to capture criminals. The bonze expected to find out the truth, but he started doubting people as well. However, at the ending, he still wants to believe people as much as possible.


The film was directed by Akira Kurosawa in the year 1950, when the Japanese economy had not started recovering yet. This film shows us two types of people living in Japan at the time: the vagabonds and the bonzes. The vagabonds are the people who never trust each other, and the bonze represents the people who believe in the good nature of humans. It may be easy to live if I chose the way of the vagabond, but I thought it would be interesting if I choose a way of the bonze. The vagabond learned nothing from the four stories, but the bonze was confused, he considered their stories and found an answer. The answer is the same as the beginning, that he wants to believe in people, but his mentality must have grownup through the film.

The poem abstruct

When I was a high school student, I wrote this poem in Japanese to express my sadness and frustration, without identifying what it is about. Because poems do not always have a clear meaning, I chose this style for the poem. This time I rewrote it again in English. This poem is about when the North Korean government kidnapped Japanese people. It is a letter to people whose families had been kidnapped. The kidnapping happened about thirty years ago, but the majority of Japanese have started looking at the facts for the last 5 years. It is said more than three hundred Japanese were kidnapped, but most of those people have never come back. Because it is a problem of domestic politic and diplomacy, it was hard to talk about ten years ago when I was a primary school student. At the time when I wrote the poem everybody knew about the kidnapping, and it was an open discussion topic. However, I did not open the real meaning of the poem at the moment.


The first stanza is about the moment victims were kidnapped. Because they were kidnapped unexpectedly, they just disappeared suddenly. They definitely did not have time to say goodbye to their family, as their family was waited at home. Many families thought they might have had traffic accidents or sudden illnesses. No one imagined that they had been kidnapped. Many parents waited for them to come home, or information about an accident. Their parents also waited for these things, but they never came to these people. In the case of people disappearing themselves, their family might be able to find some clue before it actually happened. However, people cannot feel anything before the kidnapping occurs. It just turned the people’s lives into darkness and uncertainty.


The second stanza is about families’ lives between the time that they had been kidnapped to before they could figure out exactly what had happened. The kidnapping was a diplomatic problem that domestic police officers could not deal with. Usually, if a person disappeared their family asks the police to look for them, and figure out what happened. However, when victims’ families ask them for help they could do nothing. No matter how hard they worked to find out missing people, they could not find them.

The third stanza is when the family received a letter from victims who were living in North Korea, and finally they discovered what happened to the missing people. While they did not have any ideas they would be able to give up meeting their missing families, but because they knew the truth they could not give up. Also they understand how hard meeting those family members is. They had to use not only local police but also Japanese government to rescue their family members. It would take long time.


The fourth stanza is about when they figure out how difficult it is asking the Japanese government for help. Because the kidnapping happened during the Cold War and the North Korean government did not admit it, their movement turned into a political problem. “The ship” means the Japanese government, which is floating on an ocean, and actual ships that was supposed to protect Japanese people.
During the cold war, Japanese parliament also had conflict between the Liberals Democratic Party and the Japanese Communism Party coalition and the Social Democratic Party. JCP and SDP claimed that LDP made up the incident of the kidnapping to let communism down, so the Japanese government could not progress a negotiation with North Korea. Moreover, they also accused victims’ families of supporting the plot. Then, because we have peace constitution and Japan did not have a strong defense force, Japanese marines could not protect those victims, even when they received radio contacts. In that case, the former Japanese information department found a radio contact between North Korean spies in Japan, but they did not work to stop kidnapping.
For victims’ families, it was a hard time to solve the problem. If they announced about their families they would be accused by Socialists, but the other party did not help them. The story of kidnapping was not popular amongst Japanese, so they cannot risk their careers as politicians. There was a prime minister who tried to negotiate with North Korea in the year 2001, but the Japanese media accused him of worsening Japanese foreign relationships by making up the story. He lost his next election.


The final stanza is about prime mister: Junichiro Koizumi who visited the capital of North Korea, and they have admitted their crimes. It gathered international attention and about ten missing people have returned to Japan. However, it has been more than twenty years after victims were kidnapped. So, other families can have few hopes. However, North Korea had famine and hundreds of thousands of people have died since 1996. The North Korean government might not kill victims, but it does not mean they still survive. Then, many of the victims’ families are getting older. They do not have time to wait anymore. In addition, the main topic of the peace talk with North Korea has changed from kidnapping to the nuclear developing problems. For victims’ families, it is almost impossible to keep international interests on the victims as much as in development of nuclear and mass distraction weapons. It is an aggravation.
I would like to say I will save the victims but I cannot. Probably no one can save them. Many of them have not survived already. Consequently, all I can say is keep your hope and do not give up, even if there seems to be no hope.



I am as a person
I am a twenty-year-old student, so the kidnapping happened before I was born, and the first victims came back when I was seventeen. Because my father was a journalist, I have been growing up with information of the progress of the incident. When I was small they were just missing people, and when I was in primary school it turned out that they were kidnapped by North Korea. I did not talk to my friends about it at all. No one was interested in the story. However, the victims’ families had been looking for them. Then, when I was a junior high school student, a prime minister lost his job after he had tried to negotiate with North Korea. At the moment, Japanese mass media was thinking that the prime minister made up the story of the kidnapping and it was difficult to talk about it at a public place, but the families had not given up yet. Finally, when I was a high school student, North Korea admitted the kidnapping and about ten victims came back, but many others have not. Recently, international interests in North Korea have turned from the kidnapping to nuclear development, and the majority of the families, especially victims’ parents, are getting older and older. They cannot actively continue the quest to save their families.
When you watch a movie about kidnapping you can see the twenty years in two hours, and you would not feel it was too long but it was. I have no idea why the families have not given up yet, but I know how difficult it is to keep their motivations against the kidnapping.
I learned from them how hard it is not to give up our dreams, and how important it is to live them.

snow-mountain

In 2003, January 16th, a party of university students lost their way in a mountain, and asked for help by radio communication. They were snowbound, they faced lack of food there and some of the members got chilblains. This accident happened because they had not known the mountain well, they had not gotten used to snow and they had ignored advices by local people. Those are what climbers should not do to secure their lives.

First, they had not researched any information of the mountain before they went. Carelessly, all they used was a road map to entrance of hiking pass, because they thought they had enough experiences of climbing up higher mountains. It caused the disaster, when they faced heavy snow and could not see around them. They did not have a trapping map so they could not figure out a pass. Then none of them had climbed there before, so they did not know where they should have escaped to from snow. Moreover, they did not know the weather was going to be snow. They could not use their experience of mountains that they had climbed. Every mountain has each characteristic, so they must have worked for collecting the information.

Second, they did not get used to snow, even when they were going to climb a mountain in winter. It might be because they did not know the mountain well, but if only they had known snow well they did not have to face the disaster. During it was snow storming, they did not go out to drop snow off, so their food and equipment was snowbound. That means they lost special equipment such as ski-boards so they cannot move on snow, and they have to survive without food waiting for rescue team. Then, they could not keep their selves warm enough as well. If they were waking up the night and keep dropping snow off, they could escape from the mountain with their ski-boards.

In addition, they had ignored an advice by a local person who knew climate there well. Because it was their first time going there they asked a local person a way to the mountain, and they were also advised not to go there. They might think they had more experiences than the man had in nature, and they did not care about it. Unfortunately, the person was right, but he did not force them not to go and told them the way. That means he might think they had prepared very well to walk through the mountain. However, they did not know anything, what the mountain was, how snow affected or why the local person suggested not to go. Local people there tend to know exact climate that weather forecast do not show there.

Even a climber, who has a lot of experiences, takes time for preparation before they go. Otherwise, well-experienced climbers prepare well because they know how dangerous a mountain is. In the case of a university students’ party, they did not research it well, so they did not know what they needed to prepare. Therefore, they had an accident and faced a danger of their lives. After few days of work, a rescue team, finally, found them by a helicopter when it stopped snowing. They had survived in hard environment and the helicopter took them to a hospital soon, and they are alive. It was very special case. Usually, no one can survive in a snow-mountain without knowledge of snow and climate. People must prepare well before they go to a mountain.

All teachers want good students at their classrooms, and each of them have their own ideal students. All images of ideal students are different, and depend on the teacher’s character. However, in every case good students are following a teacher every time, when they answer a question, express their opinions and even when a teacher make mistakes.

First, good students answer a question in the way that the teacher likes. For example, if a teacher likes students to response only a right answer, good students keep quiet when they do not know it. Then if a teacher likes students who try to answer even when they do not know what is right, good student speak up something wrong before they answer right one. So, the students get good reputations that they are studying hard.

Second, good student express their opinions in the way that the teacher likes. For instance, at front of a teacher, who believes only a text Book, good students do not talk about contents of other books. Then, if a teacher does not believe only a text Book, good student do not talk about the Book to avoid that the teacher would think they are bad student, who have narrow thought. Nationalists

These days, nationalistic movements have become more famous in China and in Japan. Basically, people who have great love for their nations or nationalities are called “nationalists”, but love is not enough in order to be called a nationalist. I also like my nation but I am not called a nationalist, because nationalists have special characteristics. Nationalists are interested only in good points of their own country, and they do not make constructive suggestions about their country.

Nationalists often like to tell about advantages of their country. However, they often ignore negative aspects of their own countries and advantages of other countries. For example, Japanese nationalists see advantages of their country in technological and educational development, but they ignore how these advantages are developed. The nationalists are people, who think that scholars discovered new technologies not because they were studying hard but because they were Japanese. Moreover, religious fundamentalists verbalize their religious advantages on historical successions or a victory in ages ago, but they do not look at the situation of their religion now. That means they are nationalists. So, they think that they have nationalistic advantages against others, and they tend to refuse accepting another culture or development in another religious methods.

Furthermore, they tend to ignore advantages of other countries. If people want their countries to develop like other nations, they need to learn from each other. However, nationalists do not like it. Nationalists have to have too much self-confidence to think that they need to learn, so they seldom go out to study. People who study from other nations to develop their countries are not nationalists. For instance, French or U.K. government opens their domestic market to the world to encourage companies. Their companies would learn competitiveness and useful technology for consumers through clash in the world market. It is good to develop their country, but opening a market is not a nationalistic method.

Moreover, nationalists do not suggest any constructive opinions. Their basic belief is that their nation or nationality has special advantages against others. They think they do not need special effort. So, mainly academic people are not nationalists. That is because they regularly give suggestions for their nations, studying other countries. In the case of economic policy, they need to compare better and worse points of the policy, studying examples from other. They also need to look at worse points of the domestic policy, and suggest a constructive method for the government to repair. However, nationalists often claim the government policy, when they feel it is not nationalistic or it has a problem, but they do not suggest anything constructive. They believe their nation is going to be better without effort, if there are no interferences. The nationalists try destroying worse policies but they do not try making better one.

Recently, the nationalist directly means chauvinists. They do not look at worse points of their nations or better points of others, and they do not make any constructive suggestions. So, we need to care about using the word nationalist. If you want to express love for your nation, you should just say you like your country; instead of saying you’re nationalist.

Epidemics and Globalizations.

Humans are increasingly traveling around the world by airplanes and cars, and using Internet to find information and to communicate each other without borders. This is globalization, and it also relates to epidemics. People may contract these during travel, and people are reading articles and watching news reports about those. The Bird Flu-H5N1 is the most famous epidemic these days. First it occurred in Hong Kong in 1997, and people have found same type of virus in northern Africa in 2006. If some one caught it in Africa and came to New Zealand, it would be troubles, because many people in New Zealand might be infected and some of them might not survive. The Spanish Flu-H7N7, which was one of bird influenzas, killed at least 40 million people all over the world in 1919. However, the main difference between beginning of 20th century and now is a technical development of communications like telephones, mobile phones and emails. So last time in the case of the Spanish flu, globalization helped the virus to spread and infect the world. On the other hand, at least, people are now able to gather information of H5N1 and to consider what to do, this time in the case of H5N1. Globalization supports humans to deal with killer influenza virus.

The developments of transportation are remarkable. In 19th century, people were walking or riding horses to move and using the vessels to across the oceans. Traveling around the world had to take months and so did preparations. That means if they had any diseases it would cure on the way to their destinations, and if livestock or some creatures in ship had epidemics those would die during voyage. So it was almost impossible for virus to across the oceans. Especially, the virus with insects could not spread widely, because lives of insects are very short.
The airplanes are the most developed transportation during 20th century. Now these connect one side of the earth to the other under15 hours. That means mosquitoes and those kinds of insects are able to survive during the trips, and some times they carry epidemics from an airport to another. For example, west Nile virus, which came from northern Africa with mosquitoes, spread only around huge cities like New York and Los Angeles. Everyday thousands of airplanes are flying around the world, hundreds thousands people are moving with these, and insects like mosquitoes are too small to find out in planes. So, it is very difficult to stop them to coming into the cities. Moreover, when they have gone to the big city, it is more difficult to get rid of them.
The developments of transportation help virus to spread around the world, but it also supports people to bring medication equipment like medicines, hypodermic syringes and so on. Particularly, when patients are living in a small village, the planes and helicopters are very important tools to rush there. It is same as the case of H5N1. If it happens in South East Asia there were not any doctors specialized in the epidemics, and specialists of World Health Organization could not be there at the moment of happening. However, we have jet-planes and WHO is able to send any specialists there in a day to research the situations. Moreover, they are able to bring anything anywhere they want.

The information technologies have also developed extraordinary during the last century. When the letters was a main method to communicate each other, humans, trains and ships brought those. Exchanging information took months to go and years to back. Then humans invented telegraphs and telephones. It was much faster than the letters, but it couldn’t send enough amount of information like pictures and music. Now, humans have Internet lines and are able to transport not only mail but also movies quickly. Furthermore, infrastructures of communication lines are prepared. So people can contact others almost anywhere in the world. Scholars like communicating on emails because it is easier to explain their opinion with a lot of amount of research results, and quicker than other methods. In particular, specialists of a subject are living separately. If one is working at a university in America, another may work at a laboratory in Japan and another might in United Kingdom with studying and teaching their major at their place, furthermore supporting each other. The researchers, who are working to decrease the epidemics, are able to contact anyone in the world as well. So that, humans can deal with diseases, which happened in the other side of the earth, before it spread around the world and it goes to another country. In the case of H5N1, the specialists and local doctors, who went to the contaminated area, started studying features of the virus separately with discussion through IT. Then they found how to treat the patients, and they tried to discover the vaccines before the virus came to another place.
The developments of information technology also offer people wide news reports. For instance, BBC, CNN and Reuters have their own home pages, and prove latest news every second. That’s because correspondents are able to contact them quicker and they displace those types of news upon the pages, and people are also able to gather latest news using computers and laptop efficiently. Particularly, articles, what I’m using as references for this essay, is a very example of my opinion. Once International Organizations noticed the problem, they would start working on it, and they might stop it during it is a problem of local people. They could send their own specialists, but also ask local researchers to search the situations and send results to IO. After every specialist around the world share information of the epidemics, one of them would find treatments’ or preventive methods. Then they could share the information again for more developments. Finally, when a company started producing medicines, airplanes would bring some of those in a day to the patients and ships would take large amount of those all over the world to prevent epidemics.
Migratory birds are carrying bird flu virus from the Siberia to New Zealand or to the Republic of South Africa. When H5N1 appeared in Vietnam in 2003 it killed almost fifty people there, but when it appeared in Turkey in 2006 it killed just four people there. Those viruses are same in both cases’, humans could not stop the virus spreading around, because we could not exterminate all birds. However, humans’ knowledge of it was different and that made the difference to numbers of victims. This is a benefit of the globalization.

Genetically modified food

Humans have been changing species to suit our lives, and now we have enough new technology to change kinds of species easily. This can control species’ genes directory, and it depends on lacks less than before. We should develop technology of modifying genes further because it still has problems, and start using genetically modified food more widely in agriculture. GM would makes farmers save cost and let us spend less for our food.

The main problem of genetically modifying technology is that still needs time to be put it to practical use. That’s because no one is sure which gene we need to use and how the gene or combinations of genes work in real creatures. Furthermore, the number of technical experts, who can operate it, is just a few, and their technique is not developed enough to be expected to submit perfect results. Therefore, they have to try some time to replace genes in creatures and take time to check results. For example, when we want to make new kinds of cows that can produce twice the milk cows used to, they need to change genes that are too small to be able to look at directory and bring it up. That would take at lease 2 years to start producing milk, and it takes more if their operation is not perfect and basically they fail the replacing. That would take more time to study every effect of genetic modification. Usually, they fail modifying, and learn more from mistakes than succeeds. Therefore we need more development of this technology to produce more modified things efficiently.

On the other hand, genetically modified technology already has an effect on agricultural industry. For instance, agribusiness has self-protecting leaves from worms, strong products against chemicals and plants that have special chemicals to let bugs dine on worms. Mainly, those plants were made to cut uses of agricultural chemicals, and those help farmers cut cost of using chemicals, and farmers don’t have to be afraid about poor harvest any more. That’s because, when they’re bringing up same plants in one area, that means all of those can be affected by a kind of vermin or weather, but some kinds of modified plants are strong in those conditions. Now, farmers produce that with less effort, so we can buy food at a cheaper price. Especially in developing countries, it is very important things. Not only farmers but also governments don’t have enough funds to invest, but they have to irrigate and get land ready to produce ordinary food, but not for GM. The technology helps their industry with fewer risks, because they don’t need much money to maintain.

Technologies that use modified food are almost same as those that natural creatures are using. They have made rapeseeds that kill vermin, which ate these leaves, but some kinds of plants like oranges and cabbages have similar abilities to kill predators. The systems whereby plants invite bugs like spiders is a relationship of parasitism. We can see the same cooperation at any place for example, between coral and small fishes to between fruits and birds. Corals give fishes places to hide, and fishes eat bacteria. Fruits give sweet sugar so birds bring those seeds out. In addition, there are a lot of unique plants on the earth. The cactuses are very strong in dry weather, and the conifers are strong in cold weather. So these plants that is strong at chemical are not special talents for natural creatures.

In conclusion, we should hurry to develop new technology to produce more genetically modified food, because it is a method whereby we can make better food during shortest terms, and it’s following natural way of new species. It also helps all of us from farmer in developing countries to people who’re buying products in developed countries, because those plants are less effective to the environment than normal plants, and they cut our cost of production.
