マクラーレンＦ１チーＭ所属のカルロス・サインツの2019シーズンを終えての　コラムです。

219年、サインツはドライバーズランク　6位でシーズンを終えました。

 

 In terms of general performance, we have consistently been one of the few teams fighting to dominate the midfield every weekend and we were rewarded with fourth in the constructors’ championship. On top of that, finishing P6 for me in the drivers’ championship was probably unthinkable at the start of the season, so it feels great to achieve our most ambitious goals this year.

I´m very grateful to everyone at the team, both at the factory and at the track, and I also want to send a very special thank you to you the fans for such amazing support. I appreciate all the messages and I´m grateful for you coming on this journey and reading my column. Have an amazing winter – then bring on 2020!

In terms of general performance,

全体的な（マシンの）性能では

成田山にて

I went to Naritasan Temple last week to take a picture of autumn leaves.

Naritasan-temple is located about 10km from Narita International Airport, and can be reached in 15 minutes on foot from Narita Station(JR-line or Keisei-line)

この間　成田山に紅葉の写真撮りに行きました。

ちょうど見ごろだったけど　ちょっと曇り空で・・・

先週の野食

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　焚火で調理　＆　コーヒー

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　先週は　雨ばかりで気が湿ってて　火を起こすの苦労した・・・

Max Verstappen, 2nd

“Of course I’m very happy to finish the season with a podium and to be third in the championship ahead of both Ferraris is also a good achievement. On this track today Mercedes and Lewis were just a bit too quick but as a Team we had a good strategy, good pit stops and the car was working really well so second place is a good result on this track. The pace was good and overall we were quite a bit faster than the other guys which is a nice feeling. Looking back my highlight of the season was Austria. To take the first victory for Honda in the V6 era was very emotional and as a Team to win at our home track again in front of so many Dutch fans was a great feeling. It’s been a good season and the Team never stopped pushing. Honda also made some great improvements so we can be very happy with our first season together. As a Team we want to move forward next year and fight for the title. We need to push flat out to close the gap but looking at the last few races we have made a positive step. It’s a great ending and now we just want to focus ahead and be even more competitive in 2020.”

　　　　　　いいピットストップができたよ

それに

the car　 was working 　　really well

マシンは　　　機能したよ　本当に上手くね

so

だから

second place 　is　 a good result　 on this track.

The pace 　　　　was 　good

Looking back my highlight of the season　　 was Austria.

To take the first victory for Honda in the V6 era　 was very emotional

to win at our home track again in front of so many Dutch fans

僕達のホームコースで再び　とても沢山のオランダのファンを前にして優勝した事は

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　素晴らしい感じだったよ

Max Verstappen, 3rd, 1:35.139

“I’m pretty pleased with qualifying and we got the most out of the car. Of course you always want to be ahead or a little closer to pole but I think this was the best we could do and there wasn’t much more in it. There are always tracks on the calendar where certain cars work better than others and it’s easier to find a good set-up. This is a Mercedes track and for us it was a bit more tricky to get everything out of the last sector. With Valtteri’s penalty I will start from the front row which will help in the race. The start will be important as overtaking is difficult around here but it’s a long race and we will of course be going for the win as always. Mercedes will be quick and it won’t be easy but as a Team we will make it as hard as possible, put them under pressure, and fight them until the end.”

There are always tracks on the calendar

　　　　　　　　　where certain cars　 work better than others

　　　　　　　　　　　　特定のマシンが　　　　他のマシンより上手く機能するコースは

１シーズンの中に　いつでも有るものだよ

and

だから

it’s easier 　　　to find a good set-up.

より簡単なんだ　良いセットアップを見つける事はね。

 

 

 

This is a Mercedes track

for us

僕達にとっては

it was a bit more tricky　 to get everything out of the last sector.

I will start from the front row
