モナコＧＰで勝利したレッドブル大法のクリスチャン・ホーナーの
エンジンサプライヤーのHONDAにたいするコメントです。
“I mean Honda are doing a great job, this I think is their first victory in Monaco since ’92, the first time they’ve led the championship since 1991 when I was still at school,” said Horner. “They deserve full credit for this victory as well. "As for Yuki, he’s never competed here in any other category, so this was his first race in Monaco, a track which is of course quite a difficult one to learn in a Formula 1 car. After showing a very good performance in FP1 he had a small accident in FP2, but he could continue to grow his confidence around the track during the Saturday morning session. Qualifying was more difficult for him, he lost some time with the weighbridge and wasn’t able to complete an additional lap, which meant he just missed out on Q2 by a small margin. Today he had a clean race and I’m sure he has gained a lot of experience here in Monaco, which will help him in the future.

“This weekend has obviously been a challenge, having never driven in Monaco before, but I think my qualifying lap was quite good and I was unlucky to miss out on Q2. We’d planned on doing three push laps but only managed two. Having to go to the weighbridge during the session affected our plan and then we hit traffic in sector two on my best lap. We have to analyse all the data and see where my weaknesses are compared to Pierre and then hopefully, I can improve to be able to fight with him in Q3. I think we’re definitely seeing improvements race-to-race though and I’m happy with the performance in the car.”

I’m not sure how much this will affect my preparation for the race, obviously a loss of running isn’t ideal, but I’ve got two sets of softs for Saturday now so it’s not the worst case. I just need to prepare more for Saturday and put it altogether when it counts.”

茨城の百里基地Ｆ２見にいってきましょいた。
実は百里基地 学生の時も見に行った事あるんだけど
当時は、スマホもＧＰＳも無かった時代で
基地の近くまで行きながら観望できる場所が
解らなく 見ないで帰った黒歴史があるんです・・・
今回は、ばっちりネットで調べてＧＰＳ頼りに
行きました！

思いのほか 戦闘機までの距離が遠かった・・・・
肉眼では 小さくしか見えなかったです・・・・
手前に民間の茨城空港の滑走路があって
その向こうに軍用ぁっ走路が有るからなんです。
でも 離陸時の爆音は 凄かったです！

“I think Mercedes, we've seen it since Bahrain… their race pace has been better than ours at each Grand Prix that we've seen so far, and I think that their degradation has been better than ours,” said Horner. “We knew these last two circuits would play to their strengths; they've done that but we're an awful lot closer than we have been and I think that if we can find some more race pace, it's still very, very tight between the two cars.

レッドブル メルセデスのマシンは ほぼ互角に感じる
ホーナーのコメントの通り戦略で やられてる と思う。
ドライバーの力量は・・・
ハミルトンの方が 凄いと思う。
去年まで メルセデスのマシンが凄すぎて
ハミルトンの力量が よくわからなかったけど
マシンが互角になると 現役チャンプの凄さが解る。
ルイスはレース全体を考えて走り
フェルスタッペンは目の前の事のみ考えてはしってるように見える。

"Tough race! It was expected really, just because it’s so difficult to overtake. Despite that I think we achieved everything we could. On paper it's not as strong a result as we'd like, but I don’t think that really matters today – we had decent pace all day. Given the characteristics of this track we did what we could, and that was P8 and double points, so I’m happy for the team."
